Gang Of Notorious Autolifters Busted



With the arrest of (1) Nazeem, aged 22 years r/o Baghpath, UP, (2) Md. Imran, aged 20 years r/o Baghpath, UP and (3) Shakeel, aged 24 years r/o Baghpath, UP, Central District police has busted a gang of auto lifters. Thirty cases of MV theft have been worked out.

            12 Motor Cycles and 01 number plate have been recovered from their possession.

INCIDENT
        On 27/10/2015, complainant Aneesh reported at P.S. Daryaganj, Delhi that his motorcycle Passion Pro was stolen from JLN Marg. In this regard, immediately, a case vide FIR No.17631/15, u/s 379 IPC, PS Daryaganj was registered at P.S. Daryaganj, Delhi and investigation was taken up.

            On 04/11/2015, information was received that a gang of auto thieves would be going from Geeta Colony Flyover side. Based on this information, ASI Sohanveer along with Ct. Nemichand started vehicle checking by putting barricades at power house road.  During vehicle checking, one person riding M/Cycle Hero Honda Passion pro Black, was signalled to stop. On seeing the police party, he tried to flee but he was apprehended by the alert police team. He was asked to produce the documents of the motorcycle but he could neither produce any documents of the vehicle nor give any satisfactory reply.  On verification, the motorcycle was found to be stolen from the area of P.S. Daryaganj, Delhi.    

TEAM
            A team comprising of Inspr. Satender Mohan, SHO/Daryaganj, Inspector Vinod Kumar, Inv./Daryaganj, SI Devender Kaushik, ASI Sohanveer Singh, HC Yugveer, HC Satvir, HC KanahiyaLal, HC Sunil, Ct. Mukesh, Ct. Rakesh, Ct. Nemichand and Ct. Vijay pal was constituted under the close supervision of Ms. Apoorva Gupta, IPS ACP/ Daryaganj.

INVESTIGATION

           During investigation, accused person revealed his identity as Nazeem r/o Bagpath, UP. He disclosed that he along with his other accomplice namely Imran used to steal the motorcycle from vulnerable areas like Hospitals, Railway Stations and Bus Terminals.  On this, a raid was conducted at his native place and his accomplice Imran was also arrested from Baghpath. On their instance and pointing out, 12 Motorcycles and one fake number plate have been recovered from their hideouts in different places in UP. One Shakeel, who used to receive the stolen motorcycles and further disposed off, was also arrested on identification of Imran and Nazeem.   They used to target the vehicles with high mileage like Passion Pro so that they could easily be disposed off in rural areas of UP

MODUS OPERANDI

            During interrogation, accused Nazeem disclosed that all the three members of this gang belongs to a poor family back ground and fond of leading luxurious life. All are in their early twenties and almost illiterate and unemployed. They met each other in Baghpath UP as their home town. They tried to earn money by doing a daily wage earning but that job could not fetch them sufficient money to live a lavish and luxurious lifestyle.  Imran was expert in opening the lock of the motorcycles with master key and Nazeem was expert in riding motorcycles with very high speed.   They all three planned to commit theft of motorcycles in the area of Delhi and NCR and further disposed off in rural area of UP. Whenever the stolen motorcycle runs with some technical problem or empty fuel, they used to leave it.  They used to target the motorcycles of attendants of the patients, daily office goers and other person who used to park their vehicles outside parking.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
