Desperate Criminal Wanted in Attempt to Murder Case Arrested

The Special Staff of South-East District has arrested a desperate criminal namely Mohd Aarif aged 19 years s/o Ishraj Ahmed r/o Ajay Nagar, Ismailpur, Faridabad (Haryana) who was wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS Sarita Vihar. One stolen motorcycle and 5 mobile phones of different make and model have been recovered from his possession. Seven cases including one case of attempt to murder, one of MVT and five of mobile theft have been solved.

In view of rising incidents of mobile thefts in South-East District, a team of Special Staff/SED led by Inspr. Naresh Kumar consisting SI P.L. Katewa, HC Anil Kumar, HC Yashpal, HC Surender and HC Suresh was constituted under supervision of Shri Ashok Saroha, ACP/Operations, South East District, Delhi.

          The team deployed sources and collected local intelligence. On 22.11.15, HC Yashpal Singh received a credible information that a desperate criminal wanted in an attempt to murder case of PS Sarita Vihar would come near Sarita Vihar Metro Station on a stolen motorcycle. The team immediately laid a trap near Sarita Vihar Metro Station and at about 5:30 PM, the team apprehended a boy identified as Mohd Aarif r/o Ajay Nagar, Ismilepur, Faridabad while he was riding on a KTM-390 Duke motorcycle. On verification, the motorcycle was found stolen vide e-FIR No. 18793/15 PS Crime Branch. Subsequently, on his personal search, five mobile phones were recovered and on verification, the same were also found stolen from different areas of South-East District, Delhi.     

On sustained interrogation, accused Mohd Aarif disclosed that after completing 7th standard, he joined bad company and started committing petty crime. After some time, he started consuming Ganja due to which he required more money, so he became habitual criminal. His father was also having criminal background. He used to steal motorcycle for joy ride and while roaming in the area, he along with his juvenile associate used to target their prey for crime. On the day of his apprehending, he had come near Sarita Vihar Metro Station to sell off the stolen mobile phones.

He further disclosed that about 1 ½ months before, he along with his juvenile associate stabbed one pick pocket namely Dilshad @ Dhilla near Lohiya Pul, Sarita Vihar and looted his belongings (money). They had also committed various pick pocketing and house thefts in different areas of South-East District. While roaming on his motorcycle, they used to target the houses with open doors. Then, they stole the belongings like cash and mobiles of inmates. His juvenile associate acts as a ‘machine’ (main operator of pick pocketing).

He was previously involved in four cases of M.V. theft and pick-pocket. He was released on bail in the month of July 2015 and thereafter, he again started committing crime.

Further investigation is under progress.

          Accused Mohd Aarif has studied up to 7th standard. He is a drug addict. To fulfill his requirement of money, he made a gang and started committing snatching and theft with his associates. He was married two years ago and was having a girl child from this wedlock.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
