GANG INVOLVED IN KIDNAPPING FOR FORCED PROSTITUTION OF GIRLS BUSTED
The Crime Branch has busted a gang of human traffickers with the arrest of two persons namely 1.Afroz
Ahmed @ Sonu S/o Navab Hussian R/o H.No. 155 Main Market Sunderpuri Ghaziabad UP. 2. Radhey Kumar
Gupta S/o Bhola Prasad R/o H.No. 52 D.D.A Flats Shastri Park Seelampur Delhi. The gang is involved in
trafficking of minor girls by luring them on the pretext of job and shelter. One sixteen years old minor girl r/o
Unnav, UP has been rescued.
INCIDENT, TEAM AND OPERATION
An information was received by HC Pradeep regarding a gang involved in such nefarious activities. On this
a trap was laid near Sarai Kale Khan ISBT. Raiding party led by ACP KPS Malhotra comprising of Inspr Pankaj
Singh, W/SI Kusum Dangi, SI Vishal, ASI Shiv Kumar, ASI Sunil Gaur, HC Pradeep, HC Prithvi, HC Jagpal, Ct
Rohit Solanki, Ct Vinod, Ct Ravinder Malik, Ct Sanjiv, Ct Ravinder Khokhar was formed under the supervision of
DCP/Crime Bhishm Singh. Radhe Kumar Gupta and Afroz Ahmed @ Sonu were spotted along with a minor girl.
They were apprehended and the girl stated that two days back she came to Delhi in search of a job. At New Delhi
railway station she met Afroz Ahmed @ Sonu who lured her and took her to his house in Ghaziabad on the pretext
of getting a job. On 12/12/2015 Afroz Ahmed @ Sonu took her to a park and sold her to Radhe Gupta for the
purpose of prostitution, A case FIR No 178/15 U/S 372/372/366A/370A IPC was registered at PS Crime Branch in
this regard and both the accused persons were arrested. A case of kidnapping was already registered at PS
Gangaghat, Unnao. Investigation of the case is in progress.
MODUS OPERANDI
From the investigation conducted so far, it has been revealed that this gang is involved in kidnapping/abduction
of poor girls from Railway Stations and bus stands who come to Delhi in search of job. They would operate at
railway stations in wee hours and induce/lure the poor girls particularly those hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand
and West Bengal. Initially, they would offer them some attractive jobs and when the girls would fell in their trap,
they would sell them to various persons/GB Road for prostitution.
