 GANG OF ROBBERS ACTIVE IN OUTER DISTRICT BUSTED



Crime Branch has busted a gang of robbers active in Outer District with the arrest of the gang leader Surender Mohan @ Dheeraj @ Dheere (31 years) s/o Suresh Chand r/o Mangol Puri, Delhi from Phase-I, Budh Vihar area. The accused has disclosed his involvement in 7 incidents of robbery of PSs Rani Bagh, KN Katju Marg, Saraswati Vihar, Punjabi Bagh and Anand Parbat etc. One armed robbery case of Rs.50,000/- have been solved with his arrest so far.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: -
        On 12.10.2015, secret input was received by HC Yashpal Singh that members of a Surender Mohan @ Dheere gang would assemble in Phase-1, Budh Vihar area for commission of a crime. The information was further developed and a team of South Western Range led by DCP Rajeev Sharma, consisting of ACP Kailash Chandra, Inspr. Naresh Sangwan, HCs Yashpal, Sanjay, Sandeep, Om Prakash, Baney, Surendra, Khicharu Ram, Yogender, Cts. Rajeev Sahrawat and Pravindra was constituted to nab them.    
        The team laid a trap near the expected place of their arrival and total 5 youths including the notorious robber Surender Mohan @ Dheeraj @ Dheere were apprehended. All the youths were examined and it was revealed that the accused Surendra Mohan @ Dheeraj @ Dheere is involved in many criminal cases while the other 4 youths had come there to meet him and they were not having any criminal antecedents. Subsequently, they were released and the accused Surendra @ Dheere was interrogated thoroughly. On interrogation, he confessed his involvement in 7 incidents of robbery with passersby in West, North-West, Central and Outer Districts of Delhi. One case has been found registered vide FIR No.997/15 u/s 392/397/34 IPC, PS KN Katju Marg in which, the accused Surender Mohan alongwith his associate Ankit Khanna had robbed Rs.50,000/- in Sector-11, Rohini at gun point from a person after hitting his scooty with their pulsar motorcycle. When the public gathered on the spot, the accused persons fled away waiving pistol in air, leaving their bike on the spot.
INTERROGATION & PROFILE
        Interrogation of accused Surender Mohan @ Dheeraj @ Dheere revealed that he alongwith his family is residing at Mangol Puri. He has also taken a rented premises in Budh Vihar, Phase-I to hoodwink police. On 28.01.2011, he was arrested in a murder case of PS Saraswati Vihar registered vide case FIR No.439/10 u/s 302/397/34 IPC r/w 25/27 Arms Act vide which on 22.11.2010, he alongwith his associates had shot dead one Prateek Tirkha r/o Pitam Pura outside his colony’s main gate while he had arrived in his Honda city car after attending a marriage function. The accused persons had also robbed away mobile phone etc. of the deceased. The accused Surender Mohan was arrested in this case on 28.01.2011 and was later convicted by the trial court. He has been on bail granted by the Hon’ble Delhi High court. He has formed his gang comprising Ankit Khanna and Mahesh Bisht @ Pawwa @ Ajay who were previously involved in picking picket and burglaries etc. and made their hideouts in Phase-I, Budh Vihar.
        The concerned police stations have been informed about his arrest.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
