During interrogation, they disclosed that they used to break the locks of offices/shops using iron cutter in early morning hours and steal the stuff according to their requirements. They further disclosed that in the year 2011, they had burgled into a jewellery shop in the area of Mahavir Enclave by wrongly assuming it as a TV showroom. When they entered the shop, they found it to be a jewellery shop; they first took out the LCD TV lying in the shop and also took away the chest containing gold, silver and diamond ornaments. Thereafter, they sold the chest to one scrap dealer for one lac without opening it. On the next day, they were stunned to know through news channels that the chest stolen from the jewellery shop contained ornaments worth crore of rupees. They immediately took back the safe from the scrap dealer and shared the ornaments worth crore of rupees after opening it. Later on, they were caught by the police and recovery was affected before them before they could dispose off the same. Since then, they decided not to indulge in any big theft and to steal easily disposable items like LCD TV, gas cylinders etc as these things are easily available in any offices now a days.
