Two Persons Including One Juvenile Apprehended by Special Staff Outer District

On 21/08/2015 information was received in PS Aman Vihar regarding dead body of a girl found lying in a vacant plot in Bhagya Vihar. On this Inspr. Rakesh Kumar immediately reached at the spot and found that a dead body of girl aged about 20-25 years was found lying in a vacant plot. Lower portion of the body was naked and her belongings including mobile phone were found in a nearby plot. The identity of the deceased was established and statements of her relatives were recorded.  A case of murder was registered and investigation taken up. During investigation it was learnt that the deceased girl was working in an NGO at Rajouri Garden Delhi  and used to return home around 8-8.30 pm.  On 20/08/2015 she left for her office at 8.30 am but did not come back. The family members thought that she might have gone to her sister’s house and therefore did not check.  In the morning of 21/08/2015 one of the neighbours gave the education documents of the girl which he found lying in the street. The father immediately called her elder daughter and asked about the deceased but she was not there. They started searching for the girl and found her dead body in a vacant plot in the same locality hardly 200 metres from their house.

            A team of Special Staff Outer DistrictC Praveen comprising ASI Anil Kumar, HC Neeraj, HC Parminder, HC Devender, HC Raj Kumar, Ct Rajender, Ct Rajbir, Ct Mandeep and Ct Parveen was constituted under supervision of Inspr K. P. Malik. The team so constituted started interrogating all the suspect persons of the area and also started looking for additional clues.  Sustained efforts resulted in identification of two suspects who had been noticed in the locality in the late evening hours.  It was also learnt that the duo appeared intoxicated and had been noticed in the locality earlier also.  Checking of P.S. records revealed that one young resident of the locality namely Siddharth had been arrested for the rape of a minor girl in January and was presently out on bail.  The suspect was apprehended and thoroughly interrogated.

            On sustained interrogation accused Siddarth @ Raja disclosed that on 20/08/2015 he had taken drugs along with his minor accomplice. At about 8.30 pm they were present near a shop in Bhagya Vihar when they saw a girl walking on the street. They started following the girl and when the girl was passing through a dark patch they overpowered the girl and pulled her in a vacant plot. Accused Siddharth throttled the girl with his elbow grip and thereafter both of them sexually assaulted her. They also carried away the cash and SIM card of deceased with them.  The SIM card of deceased has been recovered from accused Siddarth.

            Accused Siddarth @ Raja s/o Yudhvir r/o Bhagya Vihar Delhi has studied upto

10^th standard. He is presently working as salesman in a shop at Rohini. He has previous criminal history. He was arrested in a case FIR No. 105/15 dated 28/01/2015 u/s 376/342/506 IPC & 6 POCSO Act at PS Aman Vihar. He was released on bail about 2 months back.

            Ironically in the morning of 21/08/2015 when the residents of Bhagya Vihar protested against the murder of the girl and had blocked the Mundka Karala road, accused Siddarth @ Raja was also part of the crowd and was demanding justice!
