Extortion Case Resolved with the Arrest of Two

With the arrest of two extortionists namely Laxmi Naryan S/o Shanker Lal r/o 15A, South Ganesh Nagar, Delhi,  aged 43 yrs and Vakil Khan s/o Deewan Khan r/o E-3/124 T-Huts Ansar Nagar, Ramesh Park, Laxmi Nagar,Delhi, a sensational case of extortion has been worked out by the police officials of PS Kalyan Puri New Delhi.

                   On 07/07/2015, two persons wearing Safari Suit with a walkie talkie(wireless Set) reached at liquor shop of DSIDC situated at Block-1, Trilok Puri, Delhi and called the Manager of the liquor shop namely Ram Chander s/o Tulshi Ram r/o J-1291 Jhangir Puri, Delhi. Both of them posed themselves as the officers of Special Cell of Delhi Police and threatened the manager that he will be implicated in a case if he did not pay  Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty thousand). The manager of the shop collected Rs. 50,000/- from his friends and gave them. The alleged persons also showed an identity card like Delhi Police ID-cards to the Manager.
                   Further, on 26/08/2015 both the alleged persons again visited the liquor shop and asked the manager Ram Chander to pay  RS. 50,000/- as it’s over one month has passed. They also asked the manager to provide them a cartoon (Peti) of Royal Stag Liquor bottles. The manager provided them a cartoon (Peti) of Royal Stag bottles which was kept  in their Wagon-R car. They  insisted on their demand of  RS. 50,000/- .

                   In the meantime, HC Rajesh, No. 583/E  while patrolling reached the  shop and the manager narrated the incident to the HC. On raising the suspicion, HC Rajesh No. 583/E with the help of other workers of liquor shop over powered both the accused persons and brought them to Police Station Kalyan Puri. During  interrogation, both were identified as  Laxmi Naryan and Vakil Kahan Thus above mentioned case was registered and the both accused persons were arrested in the case and RS. 19,000/- and one cartoon (Peti) of Royal Stag Liquor bottles, a walkie Talkie(wireless Set) and wagon-R car recovered on their instance. One identity card of accused vakil Khan Issued by the National Investigation Bureau (NIB) has also been recovered from their possession. Accused Laxmi Naryan is educated up 10th class and Vakil Khan educated up to 8th class. Both the accused persons havebeen produced before the Hon’ble court. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
