Two Drug Traffickers of an International Syndicate Arrested

Crime Branch has busted an international syndicates of drug traffickers with the arrest of its two members namely (i) Andrew (25 yrs) s/o Lalthan r/o Lamka, Churachandpur near Imphal, Manipur and (ii) Elrossi (26 yrs) s/o Peter r/o Thaizong, Churachandpur, Manipur and recovered 15 kg of Pseudo Ephedrine alongwith Rs. one lac cash from their possession.

Information was received by Inspr. PC Khanduri of South Western Range that a drug trafficking syndicate (a controlled drug under the NDPS Act) supplies Pseudo Ephedrine to Nigerian nationals in Delhi. This information was further developed. The painstaking efforts and surveillance yielded result. When specific information was received that two members of the syndicate would come to deliver huge consignment of Pseudo Ephedrine to one of its Nigerian customers at bus stand Sulahkul Mandir, Dwaraka. On this information, a team lead by ACP Kailash Chandra and consisting of Inspr. PC Khanduri, SI Kuldeep Sharma, HCs, Virender, Yash Pal, Sanjay Tyagi, Pramod, Cts Parminder and Balram was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar to nab them. The team laid a trap and the accused Andrew s/o Lalthan r/o Lamka, Churachandpur near Imphal, Manipur and Elrossi s/o Peter r/o Thaizong, Churachandpur, Manipur were arrested from the given place when they had come to deliver a consignment of Pseudo ephedrine on 31.7.15. 15 kg of pseudo ephedrine and Rs. 1 lac were recovered from them. A case vide FIR No.118/15 u/s 9A/25A/29 NDPS Act, PS Crime Branch was registered in this regard and the accused persons have been arrested.

(1)         Andrew has studied upto 10th standard. He had come to Delhi in 2010 and started business of readymade garments. He has also worked in a Call Centre in Janakpuri where he came in contact with some Nigerian nationals who were indulged in drug trafficking. He was lured by the quick and huge profit in this trade. He has disclosed that he used to procure the contraband from his Indian contact for supply to Nigerian customers.
(2)         Elrossi has studied upto 10th standard. He came to Delhi last year in search of job. He has been working in a Call Centre in Janakpuri where he came in contact with Andrew. He used to accompany Andrew during the delivery of consignment of the contraband on commission basis.

RECOVERY: -
1.            15 kg pseudo ephedrine.

2.            Rs. 1 lac cash.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
