2 Accused Indulged in Supply of Fake Indian Currency, Arrested

A team of Special Staff, South District has arrested two accused persons namely Subodh Kumar (age 34 years) r/o District Banka, Bihar and Dinesh Kumar (age 32 years) r/o District Madhubani, Bihar, who were indulged in supply of fake Indian currency and recovered fake Indian currency notes amounting to Rs. 20,000/- and Scooty used in commission of crime from their possession. 

          Some information regarding supply of fake Indian currency notes in the markets / shops of South Delhi was received in Special Staff, South District.  On receipt of this information, Inspr. Akhileshwar Yadav, I/C Special Staff deployed HC Raj Kumar to develop the information.
On 22-08-15, the efforts of HC Raj Kumar brought fruitful results and information was received that one person will supply fake Indian currency notes in exchange of original Indian currency notes at around 5 pm in Asian Market, Sector 3, Pushp Vihar, New Delhi to one of his customer.  A police team consisting of SI Rajeev Bamal, ASI Ram Kishan, HCs Raj Kumar, Manoj, Joginder, Ravinder and Ct. Satpal, Pyar Singh, Anoop, Naresh and Yogesh under the leadership of Inspr. Akhileshwar Yadav, I/C Special Staff, South District was formed and a trap was laid along with shadow witness.  At around5 pm, on pointing of informer, one person was shadowed by the deployed team and at around 5:15 p.m. the second suspect also came there on a Scooty.  As soon as they completed their transaction, both were overpowered by the team on signal from the shadow witness.  They were apprehended and disclosed their identity as Subodh Kumar r/o District Banka, Bihar and Dinesh Kumar r/o District Madhubani, Bihar.  A sum of Rs. 10,000/- (10 notes of fake Indian currency in the denomination of Rs 1,000/- each) and a sum of Rs. 4,000/- (4 notes of original Indian currency notes in the denomination of Rs. 1,000/- each) were recovered from the possession of accused Subodh Kumar and a sum of Rs. 10,000/- (10 notes of fake Indian currency in the denomination of Rs 1,000/- each) were recovered from the possession of accused Dinesh Kumar.  As per the version of informer, Subodh Kumar had supplied Rs. 10,000/- (fake Indian currency notes) in exchange of Rs. 4,000/-.  So, all the recovered currency notes were taken into police possession and a case FIR No. 1047/15, dated 22-8-15 U/s 498B/498C was registered at PS Saket and both accused were arrested in the said case after collecting sufficient evidence. 

          During sustained interrogation, accused Dinesh Kumar disclosed that 10 years back, he came to Delhi in search of employment.  He was working as an egg seller at IGNOU Road for the last 4 years.   About 6 months back, he came in contact with accused Subodh Kumar who used to purchase eggs from him and joined him in supply of fake Indian currency notes.
          Accused Subodh Kumar disclosed that he came to Delhi about 18-20 years back and started working with his elder brother at a grocery shop in Khirki Extension, Malviya Nagar.  About one year back, he came in contact with one Gyan Chand @ Gyani @ Kamal, a resident of Maidan Garhi, who used to supply the fake Indian currency notes from West Bengal to Delhi.  Gyan Chand used to supply a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/- (fake Indian currency notes) in exchange of Rs. 25,000/- (original Indian currency notes).  He further disclosed that accused Gyan Chand @ Gyani @ Kamal has already been arrested in case FIR No. 494/11 u/s 489B/489C IPC PS Prashant Vihar for supply of fake Indian currency.
Recovery:
   1.        Fake Indian currency notes amounting to Rs. 20,000/-.
   2.        Original Indian currency notes amounting to Rs. 4,000/-.
   3.        One Scooty (used in commission of crime).
