Delhi Plice Commissioner Launched Web App for the Issuance of Character Verification Report (CVR)

On 3.8.2015 at 1200 Hours Commissioner of Police, Delhi launched the web App for the issuance of
Character Verification Report (CVR) at Delhi Police Bhawan, Special Branch, Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi 110002 in the presence of senior officers of Delhi Police .
          Delhi Police has consistently been adopting new methodologies and technologies to enhance its service delivery capacity to reduce public inconvenience.  The  Special Branch of Delhi Police deals with the verification of character and antecedents of candidates for employment in government, semi government, public sector undertakings and other departments which have been brought under the scheme of verification of Character and antecedents by the Govt..of India, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance and Pension etc. Character and antecedents verification of employees of private firms is also conducted on the request of their employers on receipt of prescribed fee/payment laid down by the Govt. of NCT, Delhi which are received through Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector Undertakings.  It will save 3/5 working days of any organization and expenditure to the tune of Rs.10/15 Lacs.  Besides, it will also spare at least 20 persons out of 28 persons dealing with the CVR procedure in Special Branch alone.   If this procedure is adopted by various departments  a large number of man power would be saved by virtue of adaptation of ONLINE  CVR procedure. 
           
Smt. Garima Bhatnagar, Joint CP/Special Branch explained the e-application of Character Verification Report and presentation thereof was also done.   She further  explained the advantages of  CVR online portal :-
To provide online facility for registration, filing personal details and documentation for character verification report.    Easy to register on the online web portal for CVR.Multiple application submission in a single click.     Payment can be done online. CVR shall be issued in 30 working days thus reduce public inconvenience.
              This is another initiative of Special branch of Delhi Police after the introduction of online issuance of Police Clearance Certificates (PCCs)

              The Commissioner of Police also addressed the Special Branch officers and asked them to continue with their good work and further improve their collection of intelligence through better public interaction and use of new technological tools available for their work.
