Desperate Criminal Who Had Absconded From Police Custody Arrested

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Lalit Mohan Negi, Hriday Bhushan and Chandrika Prasad has arrested Mobin Sabir, @ Babu @ Shavez, s/o Sajjad Ahmed, r/o Mohalla Kut Kuian, Angoor Wali Masjid, Dhobiyo Wali Gali, Rampur, UP, a dreaded criminal who had recently escaped from the custody of Delhi Police personnel while being taken to Rampur Court. He was arrested on 17/02/2015 from near the Gokalpuri flyover, Delhi in a swift and professional operation.


From the possession of the accused, one .315 country made pistol and 04 live cartridges were recovered and in this regard, a case under the Arms Act has been registered in PS Special Cell.

Accused Mobin @ Babu is a native of Rampur, UP. He has been committing crime since the year 2000. He last committed a gruesome murder of one Khalil Ahmed, s/o Md. Shubhrati, r/o, H. No. 503, Gali No. 22, Zakir Nagar, Okhla, Delhi. On 19/01/15, after being produced in Case FIR No. 12/2000, u/ss. 394/395/412 IPC, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP at Rampur, accused Mobin managed to escape from the custody of Delhi Police personnel who had escorted him from Delhi to Rampur. In this connection a case vide FIR No. 47/15, u/ss. 223/224 IPC was registered at PS Civil Lines, Rampur, UP. On 19/01/15, after being produced in the case he was taken to ‘Tourist’ hotel near Railway Station, Rampur for attending natures’ call before the return journey back to Delhi. Five Police personnel were keeping watch over them. Still the accused Mobin managed to escape from the window outlet of bathroom. The motive behind this escape was that Mobin was looking for an opportunity to eliminate one Mohd Salman, s/o Jamil Ahmad (complainant of case FIR 100/2013, u/ss. 302/307/120-B IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Lahori Gate, Delhi) as he had an apprehension that Salman might get him killed in jail to avenge the murder of his uncle Khalil at the hands of Mobin.

On 30/05/2013, Mobin had shot dead one Khalil Ahmad, s/o Mohd. Shubhrati, r/o H. No. 503, Gali No. 22, Zakir Nagar, Okhla, Delhi, a notorious gangster and his initial mentor. The motive behind this murder was that the deceased Khalil Ahmad had misbehaved with the girlfriend of accused Mobin.

Accused Mobin along with his associate Harvinder @ Bobby was surrounded by police and they tried to escape by firing at police but were overpowered by police.

Accused Mobin along with his associates had committed a robbery at a travel agency in Videocon Tower at gunpoint.
9.         FIR No. 01/2002, u/s. 3(1) Gangster Act, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP
10.     FIR No. 89/2001, u/ss. 307/302 IPC, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP
Accused Mobin along with his associates had committed a contract killing of chief chemist of Khetan Factory, Islamia.
11.     FIR No. 12/2000, u/ss. 394/395/412 IPC, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP
Accused Mobin along with his associates had robbed a businessman of his valuables at gunpoint
12.     FIR No. 28/2000, u/s. 307 IPC, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP
Accused Mobin had managed to flee from a hideout after firing at the local police.
13.     FIR No. 29/2000, u/s. 25 Arms Act, PS Kotwali, Rampur, UP
Accused Mobin was found in possession of one country made pistol.

Other involvements of the accused are being verified. Further investigation is in progress.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
