The autocratic decision by one man to bolster his image has plummeted the whole country in to a “financial anarchy”: Ajay Maken

Huge response from people to Delhi Congress-organised “Jan Aakrosh March” in all the 70 Assembly constituencies, including resettlement and unauthorized colonies, JJ clusters, rural areas and villages---Ajay Maken.

Delhi Congress  to take out a march to the Prime Minister’s residence on November 23Wednesday at 4 p.m to explain to him the problems being faced by the people due to the  faulty implementation of demonetization---Ajay Maken.

Delhi Congress to bring out a booklet named “Note Pe Charcha” to explain to the people about the fall out of  the faulty implementation of demonetization.

NEW DELHI, Nov. 20---Delhi Congress workers, under the leadership of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Shri Ajay Maken, today held “Jan Aakrosh March” in each of the 70 Assembly constituencies of Delhi to protest against the messy implementation  of the demonetization process, which has brought only misery to the common people. Addressing a “Jan Aakrosh March” at the Jagangirpuri metro station, Shri Ajay Maken said   there was a  big scam behind demonetization as poor people’s money is being given to the rich  through this exercise. He said the whole county has come to a standstill as the Modi Government has made  citizens stand in queues before banks to withdraw money, thus bringing every productive activity  in the country to a total halt, leaving the labourers, employees, farmers,  businessmen and traders idle.

Shri Ajay Maken said the “Jan Aakrosh March” was held in all the 70 Assembly constituencies, including resettlement and unauthorized colonies, JJ Clusters,  rural areas and villages. He said people—men, women and the old---came out in large numbers to join the “Jan Aakrosh March” to express their anguish at the autocratic decision of Shri Modi.

Besides Shri Ajay Maken, prominent others who participated in the “Jan Aakrosh March” were  AICC incharge of Delhi Shri P.C. Chacko, Ex MLA Devender Yadav, Surender Kumar, Surender Pal Singh Bittoo,  North MCD opposition leader Shri Mukesh Goel, District presidents Shri Inderjeet Singh and Hari Kishan Jindal, senior leader Shri Chattar Singh, Municipal Councillors Ajit Yadav, Parmabhai Solanki and  Satender Sharma.

Shri Maken said common people have been put to unbearable difficulties due to the total unpreparedness in the implementation of demonetization, which has caught the poor and the common people unware. Shri Maken said the tremendous response from the common people to the “Jan Aakrosh March” organized by the Delhi Congress was a clear indication that people were now desperate for survival  due to  non-availability of cash, despite standing in queues before banks for long hours. He said it was a shame that despite the announcement that Saturdy (19th November) would be devoted only  for senior citizens to withdraw cash from banks, senior citizens had to return home empty-handed from banks yesterday, due to non-availability of cash.

Shri Maken said 55 tragic deaths have been recorded on account of the ill-prepared implementation of demonetization so far, as people are being compelled to sleep outside ATMs, parents are being compelled to cancel marriages, farmers are suffering immensely  as their harvests have no takers due to cash shortage in the market. Shri Maken said Modi’s claim that demonetization has been implemented to flush out black money has fallen flat as the poor people are suffering while the rich and big industrialists were   happily sitting in their homes.

Shri Ajay Maken said the Delhi Congress workers will take out a march towards Prime Minister Shri Naredra Modi’s residence on November 23(Wednesday), 2016 at 4 p.m to explain to him the problems being faced by the people, as Modi was hiding from the people. Shri Maken said Shri Modi has not  been attending the House, and has not explained to the people the  present mess caused by demonetization. He said the Congress workers, along with senior leaders, will assemble at the AICC office at 24 Akbar Road on November 23 before proceeding to the Prime Minister’s residence. Shri Maken said on the occasion, the Delhi Congress will also bring out a booklet, named “Note Pe Charcha”, to explain to the people the wrong policies of the Government and the problems being faced by the people due to the faulty implementation of demonetization. Shri Maken has also sought a JPC (Joint Parliamentary Committee) probe into the demonetization scam.

Shri Maken said following the “Tuglaki Farman” on demonetization issued 11 days ago, the entire country has been driven to a “financial emergency” and “financial anarchy”, as hapless and helpless people of India languish in long queues  before banks, leading to  utter chaos and confusion. He said all this has been done on account of one individual and for his image building, but sadly his calculations have misfired and his intent has backfired, to throw the country into total chaos, bordering on anarchy.
