DELHI GOVERNMENT MUST IMMEDIATELY LAUNCH

SPECIAL CAMPAIGN TO FILL UP 11000 VACANT SEATS OF EWS CATEGORY STUDENTS IN PRIVATE SCHOOLS

Leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta, today demanded that the Delhi Government must immediately embark upon special drive to fill-up 11,000 seats of EWS category still lying vacant in private schools as half of the academic session is over. He said that the Delhi Government filed an affidavit in the Court in September this year that 11,000 EWS seats were lying vacant in private schools. He said that it is a serious matter that out of 37,500 seats for EWS students, as many as 11,000 seats have yet not been filled-up.
Vijender Gupta said that the Education Department tried to fill the vacant seats by 25 October this year, but it failed to achieve the desired results. It is, therefore, imperative that fresh attempts are made by removing shortcomings in the online system and opening the additional channel of manual or offline system


Vijender Gupta asked the Government to update the software of the online system to be effective. The inputs of parents and children are not being properly registered. The schools and shifts of girls and boys often get ex changed. Neighborhood concept is not being reflected with much accuracy. It does not take into account area specific pin codes and distance between schools and home. He urged the Education Minister to remove the vital irritants in the system and make it more responsive and accurate.

Leader of Opposition said that the Government must also introduce manual or offline system of admission. All the schools where vacancies exist must setup helpdesk to guide and help parents belonging to EWS category. The staff must help parents and remove their doubts.  It will also save them from high cost of online procedure as the online service providers demand high cost for their services which they cannot afford. It will definitely promote EWS admission.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
