Two Active Burglars/Thieves Arrested

Theft Squad/West District has arrested following two active burglars/thieves
U/S 41.1 (d) Cr.P.C.

also recovered.
PROFILE
OF ACCUSED PERSONS: -
1. Vijay @ Khouf s/o Chhote Lal R/o F-469,
Madipur, Delhi , Previous address : C-90, Chandan
Vihar, Nihal Vihar, Delhi ,
Age – 25 years, Education – 12th Class. The financial condition of his family was not
good. He got his primary education from his village school. Due to poverty he
came to Delhi
in search of work at the age of 10 years and started working in a plastic unit
in Mundka area. After some time, he returned to his village and completed his
higher secondary education. Thereafter, he came back to Delhi again started working in plastic scrap
line. In the meantime, he fell in bad Company and became drug-addict. He
started committing petty theft to meet his requirements. He was arrested first
time in 2009 in a house theft case. Thereafter, he is regularly indulged in
criminal activities.

Park , Nangloi, Delhi , Age 24 Years, Education – 8th Class. The accused was
born at his native village Rampur , Gorakhpur , U.P. His
father was meson. Initially, he started working in a shoe factory in Kirti
Nagar. Later the family shifted to Nangloi area and he worked in a factory in
Udyog Nagar, Peera Garhi. In the meantime, he came in contact of his
associate Vijay @ Khouf and became drug-addict. He started committing petty
theft to meet his requirements. He was arrested first time in 2012 in a theft
case. Thereafter, he is regularly indulged in criminal activities.

On 26/04/2015, information was received by
HC Rishi Kumar, posted in AATS/West district that two active burglars/ thieves
Vijay @ Khouf and Manoj @ Vicky, who are actively involved in burglary and
thefts would pass through Baba Ramdev Marg to go to Raghubir Nagar to sell the
booty. The information was immediately shared with Inspector Dinesh Kumar,
AATS/ West, who after due formalities, constituted a team comprising SI
Gajender Singh, ASI Dipender Singh, HC Rishi Kumar, No. 551/W, HC Rupesh Kumar, No. 573/W,
Ct. Ajay Kumar, No. 1399/W and Ct. Mohit Kumar, No. 2351/W to act promptly and further develop
the information. The team so constituted was working under the leadership of
Inspector Dinesh Kumar, AATS/ West and overall supervision of Sh. Dinesh
Tiwari-ACP/Operations/West. The team started vehicle checking by erecting
barricades opposite Pragati apartments, Paschim Puri, Delhi .
On secret information, a trap was laid
and both the persons with motorcycle No.
HR 22 H 0435 were apprehended. They could not produce
the document of motorcycle
and tried to mislead the team by presenting wrong facts. On enquiry, it revealed that the motorcycle was stolen from Paschim Vihar. Accordingly, both the
persons were immediately arrested U/S
41.1 (d) Cr.P.C. and the stolen motorcycle taken into police possession.
Accused Vijay @ Khouf was in possession of a black colour bag. On searching the
bag, one Toshiba laptop, one micromax
A-47 mobile phone and one Karbon A-10 mobile phone were found. They were asked about these items. On sustained interrogation, they disclosed
that these items were stolen by them and they alongwith their associates Deepak
@ Nepali, Ganesh, Sahil, Lucky had burgled the laptop with other some jewellary
articles and cash from Mahabir enclave, Dabri. A case FIR No. 41/15, P. S. Dabri, Delhi was found registered in this regard. On further enquiry, the recovered micromax A-47 mobile
phone and Karbon A-10
mobile phone were found stolen
vide FIR
No. 33/15, P. S. Tilak
Nagar, Delhi and FIR No. 60/15, P. S. Punjabi Bagh, Delhi respectively. Hence,
the laptop and both the mobile phones were taken into police possession U/S 102
Cr.P.C.
During the course of interrogation, they were
put under sustained interrogation to know about their involvement in other
criminal activities. After a little dodging, they spewed that they are actively
involved in criminal activities. The accused persons also disclosed about their
involvement in a cylinder theft case of Nangloi area. Two LPG domestic
cylinders were recovered at their instance from the house of accused Vijay @
Khouf. On enquiry, it revealed that these cylinders were stolen vide FIR No. 43/15, P. S. Nangloi, Delhi . Hence, the gas
cylinders were also taken into police possession. It was also revealed that accused Vijay @ Khouf
has put his share of burgled jewellary in Muthoot finance branch of Nangloi and
has taken loan against it.
Further interrogation of the accused
persons is in progress to establish their involvement in other cases too. Their
associates Deepak @ Nepali, Ganesh, Sahil, Lucky are at large and raids are
being conducted to arrest them at the earliest.
