Active Snatcher Arrested; Five Cases Solved; Four Stolen Motorcycles Recovered
The staff of Police
Station Punjabi Bagh, West District has arrested active snatcher Gurvinder
Singh @ Santy. With his arrest, four cases of theft & one case of
mobile phone snatching have been solved.
Gurvinder Singh @
Santy S/o Harvinder Singh R/o B-1/145, Vishnu Garden ,
near Sunil Dairy, Khyala Delhi age 23 years. He belongs to a lower middle class
family and studied upto 6th class in Khyala, Delhi and is unmarried.

INCIDENT
& ARREST
In
view of the incidents of snatching, a dedicated team under the supervision of
Insp. Ishwar Singh, SHO Punjabi Bagh comprising of ASI Raj Kumar No. 2418/W, H
C Naresh No. 447/W, Ct. Jagbir No. 3055/W, Ct. Vinod 1042/W & Ct. Naveen
No. 1800/W was constituted. Surprise pickets were deployed in the area at
different times.
On
09.04.15, ASI Raj Kumar No. 2418/W, Ct. Jagbir No. 3055/W & Ct. Naveen No.
1800/W were checking the vehicles at police picket Club Road , Punjabi Bagh. At about 1.45 pm,
two persons on black coloured pulsar motor cycle bearing Reg. No. DL4SAL5733
came from Club Road
side. When the police staff tried to stop them for checking, they tried to flee
away but their M/Cycle slipped and they fell down on the road. Pillion rider ran
away from the spot and the rider was apprehended by the alert police staff. His identity was disclosed after interrogation
as Gurvinder Singh @ Santy. He was asked to produce the driving license &
R/C of the said vehicle but he failed to produce the same. Later on, during
enquiry, it was revealed that the above said M/Cycle was stolen from Hari Nagar,
Delhi .
On sustained interrogation, he disclosed his
involvement in four MV theft cases and one snatching case. At his instance,
four stolen M/Cycles and one snatched (Samsung) mobile phone have been
recovered.
