Gang of Interstate Robbers Targeting Morning Walkers Busted
With the arrest of four
desperate robbers, Special Task
Force, East has busted a gang of
interstate robbers targeting morning walkers and solved more than 100
cases of sensational robberies especially with morning walkers and recovered
four country made pistols. The robbers arrested are:- Imran @ Bhura

- Imran @ Ballu
S/o Akbar Malik Village Pasonda, PS Sahibabad Ghaziabad, UP.
- Shahnawaz @Shanu S/o Yamin r/o Village Pasonda, PS Sahibabad Ghaziabad, UP.
The incidents of robberies with the
morning walkers were being reported recently in East, South and South East
Delhi and other areas. Two members of this gang used to came on scooter and
accost any morning walker found walking on the deserted roads early morning. In
the meantime two of their associates would come from behind on the scooter and
drag out pistols. They used to rob the pedestrians and would fled away with
looted property i.e. rings, golden chains, cash etc.
Taking
into account the gravity of the robberies, the Special Task Force of East District
was assigned the task to nab the desperate gang of robbers. More than 10 teams of operational
staff and AATS were deployed to collect information regarding these incidents.
It was gathered through informers that the desperate robbers from village Pasonda,
Ghaziabad (U.P.) might be involved in these robberies. A team under the
leadership of Insp K. G. Tyagi comprising of Sis Rajender, Jai Singh, Rahul,
Neeraj and Ajay Yadav, ASIs Ragender and Omender, HCs Bhram Pal, Anil Cts
Rajeev, Rambir Pawan etc. under the close supervision of Sh. Y.K. Tyagi ACP
Operations were constituted.
Surveillance and monitoring was
kept on the activities of the criminals of Village Pasonda and informers of
that area were also activated. In the mean time on dated 13.04.15 secret
information was received that the gang would be coming in the area of Krishna
Nagar via Bhuteswar Mandir, Nala Road, who were also carrying illegal arms and
ammunition with them. On this information immediately a raiding party of the
above mentioned officials was constituting and teams were deployed near
Bhuteswar Mandir, Nala Road, Krishna Nagar. After a lot of scuffle and valiant effort by
the team four desperate robbers of this Gang were apprehended along with four country
made pistols. Efforts are being made to recover the looted booty. About 15/16 members
of this gang indulged in robberies are still at large and they have conspired
to commit further robberies in Delhi and NCR region.
During
interrogation they confessed to have committed more than 100 cases of robberies
in East and North-East Districts of Delhi, Gurgaon and adjoining district of U.P.
out of which 23 cases have been linked so far. All the concerned Police
Stations have been informed regarding the disclosure of the accused persons.
They confessed that two members of
this gang used to came on scooter and accost any morning walker found on the
deserted roads. On the pretext of asking for address in the meantime two of
their associates would came from behind on the motorcycle and drag out pistols.
They used to rob the pedestrians and would fled away with looted property i.e.
rings, golden chains, cash etc.
