Notorious Desperate Snatchers Arrested
The staff
of Police Station Moti Nagar has arrested two very notorious and desperate
Snatchers namely Lalit and Lakhan @ Rohit. Both are active snatchers and have
committed more than 15 incidents of snatching within 2-3 months. The police
further arrested One Vinod who is the receiver of the stolen/snatched/looted
property and recovered 10 stolen mobile phones from his possession.
PROFILES OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS :-
1.
Lalit s/o Sh. Ved Prakash r/o
H.N. 194A, Lal Quarters, Madi Pur, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi was born in 1981. He is
illiterate and had never gone to school. He was residing in Lal Quarters, where
he was apprehended u/s 107/151 CrPC. Thereafter his father sent him to Ajmeri
Gate, Delhi to his uncle. There, he committed murder and was in Jail for 5-6
years. Thereafter, he returned and fell in bad company and became alcoholic. He
started committing crime for money. He was previously arrested in number of
cases including one case of murder in Police Station Ajmeri Gate.

Lakhan @ Rohit s/o Sh. Sompal r/o
H.N. 195A, Lal Quarters, Madi Pur, Punjabi Bagh, Delhi was born in 1994. He
studied up to 9th class. Later on, he along with his family members
shifted to Lal Quarter, Madipur, Punjabi Bagh where he came in contact with
Lalit and started committing crimes actively.

Vinod s/o Sh. Ram Avtar r/o H.N.
9900, Ahata Thakur Das, Sarai Rohilla, Delhi was born in 1980. He started working
as a driver. But, finding his earning insufficient, he started committing crime.
He had previously been arrested in police station D.B.G. Road for the case of
snatching and attempt to murder. Thereafter, he came in contact with his
relative namely Lalit who used to snatch
mobile phones. He took one mobile phone of MI Company for selling it further.
But, he was arrested before selling it and the said mobile phone got recovered
on his instance from his house.
On
dated 01/04/2015 one girl r/o Pahar Ganj, along with her friend were way to
their office. Two boys snatched her purse near Metro Pillar No.345, Najaf Garh
road. The Staff of Police Station Moti
Nagar apprehended one person namely Lalit s/o Sh. Ved Prakash near Fire Station
(old Tanga Stand) Moti Nagar with the help of public person while he was
trying to escape after the incident of Snatching; whereas the co-accused
managed to flee from scene of crime. Later on, Lalit was arrested and on his
instance the co-accused Lakhan @ Rohit s/o Sh. Sompal and the receiver of
stolen property Vinod s/o Sh. Ram Avtar was arrested in the case.
A team comprising Inspr. Shyoram
Singh, SI Ghanshyam, ASI Hari Om, HC Ombir No. 1702/W, Ct. Rajesh No. 1121/W,
Ct. Amit No.1769/W and Ct. Vikas were constituted under the supervision of
Inspr. Ajay Kumar, SHO Moti Nagar & Sh. B.R. Maan, ACP Rajouri Garden was
constituted and investigation taken up.
After the registration of the
case, accused Lalit was arrested and put under sustained interrogation who
disclosed that he has been continuously committing snatching on bike for the
last 3-4 months in Moti nagar, Punjabi Bagh and nearby areas with another
person namely Lakhan @ Rohit who is the resident of Lal Quarter in Madipur.
Several Raids were conducted and at last the co-accused Lakhan @ Rohit was
arrested from Moti Nagar Fly over on the instance of Lalit. Later on, on
instance of Lalit, the receiver of stolen property Vinod s/o Ram Avtar was
arrested. During investigation, they further disclosed that they had committed
more than 15 snatching within 2-3 months. On their instance, 10 stolen mobile
phones were also recovered which belonged to different cases of snatching in
Moti nagar and Punjabi Bagh area.
