Desperate Robber Carrying a Reward of Rs. 50,000/-, Wanted In a Sensational Heist Of 2.5 Crore, Arrested
On 09.12.2014, Shri Gaurav Rathi, a dry-fruits wholesale
commission agent at Tilak Bazar, Delhi reported that, he along with his
employees was present at his shop. At about 6 pm, 4 armed persons entered into
the shop and took them as hostages by tying their hands with ropes. Thereafter,
they robbed them of cash of more than Rs. 2.5 Crores from his shop. On this, a
case of robbery was registered at PS Lahori Gate.This incident of robbery in a
very crowded and busy market created grave panic amongst businessmen and
traders in the area.
The victim deals in large-scale supply of dry fruits and runs his business from
a two-storey building at Tilak Bazar in Lahori Gate. Crime Branch, Delhi police
had arrested some accused persons linked with the robbery. The Police Head
quarters has declared reward of Rs. 50,000/- on the arrest of Sabir S/o Nizam and
2 other accused persons.

16.04.15, Insp. Dinesh Arya received a secret information that the desperate
robber namely Sabir S/o Nizam, carrying the reward of Rs. 50,000/-, involved in
a sensational robbery case of Lahori Gate, Delhi, in which Rs. 2.5 Crores were
looted, from a dry-fruits wholesale commission agent
at Tilak Bazar,Lahori Gate, Delhi, would come to ISBT, Anand Vihar, New Delhi. A team under the
supervision of ACP Amit Kumar was constituted which comprised of SI
Anuj Kumar, ASI Bhim Singh, ASI Jitender, HC Chitranjan, HC Parmod and Ct. Ajay
and was led by Insp. Dinesh Arya. The team along with the
informer reached near ISBT, Anand Vihar,
Delhi and at about 9.20 PM, one person came in a UP Roadways Bus, and got down
near the Entry Gate of the ISBT. He was identified as Sabir @ Ustad S/o Late
Nizam R/o C-3/181, Nand Nagri, Delhi and was arrested U/S 41.1(B) Cr.P.C after
a brief scuffle. The accused was
subjected to sustained interrogation.
During interrogation, the accused Sabir who is a Desperate Robber and carrying a
Reward of Rs 50,000/- admitted that he along with two other accused Manish and
his father Milakchand had planned and pulled of this daring robbery. . He is an
illiterate person. In the past he was kingpin of illegal betting trade in the
area of Nand Nagri.
