One Notorious Robber Involved in Many Cases of Robbery Arrested

On 17.02.15 complainant Jai Prakash s/o Shri Chiman Lal reported that he alongwith his wife were travelling in Patalkot Exp.Train from Bhopal to Sarai Rohilla Station .When the train reached at Tuglakabad Railway Station, he noticed that his wife’s purse containing ornaments, mobile phones and cash was stolen. A case of theft was registered at P.S H.N.Din. On 28.4.2015 a secret information was received by Const Surinder and Ct. Sanjeet that one Rahul is active in the area of P.S H.N.Din Railway Station and is stealing bags and other personal belongings of passengers in the area.   

                             A team was constituted comprising Inspr. Sunil Kumar, SHO/H.N. Din, ASI Anil Kumar, HC Ombir Tyagi, Ct Randhir Singh, Ct Sanjeet and Ct Surinder was constituted under the close supervision of ACP/Railways Sh. Om Parkash.

         Team members Constable Surinder and Constable Sanjeet raided and chased and finally caught Rahul @ Kalu S/o Tara Chand, age 26 Years  r/o J-11 Siddharth Basti, Indira Camp, Sunlight Colony, Delhi. During investigation accused Rahul @ Kalu was put on sustained interrogation who disclosed that he had committed the theft of purse in the mentioned case. He further disclosed that he used to target passengers when trains slowed down at Tuglakabad Railway Station and H.N. Din Railway Station. He confessed having committed many other crimes of theft, snatching and robbery in the area. A total of two cases of robbery, the case of snatching and many other cases of thefts have worked out, with the arrest of the accused. A total of 6 mobile phones make of Micromax, Samsung, Spice and Nokia, Important documents and debit/credit cards have been recovered from his possession.

                

                                    Accused Rahul @ Kalu age 26 years was born in a poor family. His father was a labour. His elder brother Rakesh was also involved in criminal activities and in some cases both were associates. He is an illiterate and came in the contact with bad elements and started theft and robbery in the slow moving trains and at the Railway Station in the area of Nizamuddin. He is also wanted in a case of robbery of P.S Nizamuddin of South East District.
