Gruesome Blind Murder Committed Solved within 24 Hrs

With the arrest of accused Rahul Sharma (age 18 years 3 months) s/o Lala Ram Sharma r/o H. No. 133, Behind Bhagwat Hotel, Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi, the team of P.S Maurya Enclave, North-West District has solved a blind gruesome murder case. The deceased, a middle aged person was stabbed 25/30 times on his chest, neck and private parts by the accused.

                  In the morning of 12.04.15, information about murder of a person in Digambar Jain Mandir, Samman Bazar, Bhogal, Jangpura was received at P.S Hazrat Nizamuddin, South-East District, Delhi. The police officials reached the spot and recorded the statement of one Ashok Kumar, a sweeper in Digambar Jain Mandir. Ashok Kumar stated that on 01.04.15, one Hanuman Pandey R/o Sarai Kale Khan, aged 40 years, was kept for the job of cleaning the ‘Pooja Griha and Bhandar Griha’ and the room on the 2^nd floor of the Mandir was given for his accommodation. In the morning on 12.4.15, he shouted for Hanuman Pandey but didn’t get any reply from him. Hence, Ashok Kumar went inside the Mandir and found blood stains on the stairs. When he went upstairs, he found Hanuman Pandey lying dead and naked in his room and blood splattered ever where. He came out and informed the secretary of Jain Mandir who made call to PCR.

On the basis of statement and scene of crime, the case vide FIR No.263/15, u/s 302 IPC was registered at P.S H.N.Din. The deceased was found lying in a pool of blood having 25/30 stab injuries over neck, chest, left shoulder, back, private parts etc. showing gruesome nature of murder. Post mortem of the deceased has been conducted.

                                                  

On 12.04.15, S.I Ram Manohar along with S.I Afaque Ahmad and Ct. Bhagat Singh were in area patrolling for the search of robbers and snatchers and waned criminals. In the after noon, SI Ram Manohar got the secret information that one Rahul R/o Sarai Kale Khan is involved in the murder reported vide FIR No.263/15, u/s 302 IPC, P.S Hazrat Nizamuddin and can escape to his native place at Badaun, U.P any time.

S.I Ram Manohar immediately shared the information with the police team and also with the senior officers. In order to verify the secret information and arrest the assailant, the police team comprising of S.I Ram Manohar, S.I Afaque Ahmad and Ct. Bhagat Singh guided by Inspr. Bijender Singh, ATO/Maurya Enclave, under the overall supervision of Sh. Surender Dahiya, ACP/Subhash Place reached Sarai Kale Khan, Delhi. The police team conducted search of the suspect Rahul Sharma for several hours and finally intercepted him in the area of Sarai Kale Khan. He was found hiding his both hands in the pockets of his pant. On checking his fingers, it was found that he was having sharp cut on the fingers of his both hands. He could not give any satisfactory reply of the injuries sustained by him on his fingers, chest and face and finally broke down during sustained interrogation. He disclosed of having committed murder of Hanuman Pandey and received injuries during scuffle with the deceased.

                  On sustained interrogation, accused Rahul Sharma revealed the reason and motive of murder. He stated that the deceased Hanuman Pandey was a homosexual having unnatural sexual relations with several boys. Three months back Rahul Sharma came in contact with Hanuman Pandey who used to call him at his rented house at Sarai Kale Khan for establishing unnatural physical relation. Rahul Sharma was being pressurized by Hanuman Pandey to visit him regularly for this purpose. Whenever he tried to keep himself away, Hanuman Pandey used to threaten him for getting him arrested or beaten by his other friends. Hence, nursing a strong grudge against Hanuman Pandey, the accused Rahul Sharma purchased a knife from Samman Bazar, Bhogal, Jangpura, Delhi a month ago for committing murder of Hanuman Pandey.

                                                                     

On the fateful night of 11/12.04.15, Hanuman Pandey visited the shop of accused Rahul Sharma and invited him for unnatural sex in his room at Jain Mandir. After 11.00 p.m, the accused armed with the knife, reached the room at Jain Mandir, Bhogal. While Hanuman Pandey was ready for unnatural sex in totally naked condition, the accused Rahul

Sharma slashed his neck from behind. However, Hanuman Pandey fought back and during scuffle the accused himself suffered knife injuries over his chest and fingers. Finding difficult to overpower him, the accused Rahul Sharma stabbed Hanuman Pandey 25/30 times on his chest, neck, shoulder, back and private parts. Hanuman Pandey died at the spot due to several stab injuries. The accused Rahul Sharma left his blood soaked shirt, pant at the spot and ran away from there after wearing the cloth of the deceased. He reached his house at Sarai Kale khan and bandaged his fingers and was hiding in his rented room. He is planned to escape to his native place at Badaun, U.P after the return of his parents from village in the evening on 12.4.15. He disclosed to have thrown the clothes of the deceased having his blood stains in the garbage in the area of Sarai Kale Khan.

Rahul Sharma (age 18 years 3 months) s/o Lala Ram Sharma r/o H. No.133, Behind Bhagat Hotel, Sarai Kale Khan. He has studied up to B.A 2^nd year. He runs a mobile shop. His father has a food stall near Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station.
