Two notorious Dons of Bihar namely Gorakh Thakur and Zakir Ali arrested

A team of Special Cell led by Insp. Attar Singh and consisting of SI Sandeep, , SI Parveen Kumar, SI Jeetendra Tiwari, SI Rakesh Kumar, HC Harpreet, Ct. Devender, Ct. Sumer, Ct Sandeep etc. under the supervision of ACP Shri Sandeep Byala, has arrested two notorious gangsters of Bihar in two separate operations. One of the arrested don Gorakh Thakur @ Virender Thakur (age-35 years) s/o Late Rajender Thakur r/o Naya Tola, Prakash Nagar, Ward No. 13, Narkatiya Ganj, PS Shikarpur, Distt West Champaran, Bihar had made a hideout in trans Yamuna area of Delhi  and the other gangster Zakir Ali (age-26 years)s/o Abdul Gaffar had taken shelter in Indira Market Colony, Near Anaj Mandi, Najafgarh, Delhi. Both are desperate wanted criminals of Bihar and are involved in more than 40 criminal cases in Bihar. Bihar police had declared reward of Rs. 50,000/- each upon their arrest. Both had gained notoriety for demanding protection money from traders, businessmen, contractors etc, contract killing, extortion, robberies and dacoities.

There was information with Inspector Attar Singh of Special Cell/NR that of Gorakh Thakur and Zakir Ali, wanted criminals of Bihar are hiding in Delhi for some time the said information was developed by SI Jeetendra Tiwari, SI Parveen Kumar, SI Sandeep and SI Rakesh Kumar with the help of other staff. They kept surveillance upon the area and collected intelligence in this regard. Sources were deployed to gather more information. On receipt of a specific information about Zakir Ali, a trap was laid in Indira Market Colony in Najafgarh area on 13/09/2015 and Zakir Ali was arrested. His interrogation revealed that he was residing in a rented house in said area for last three months. In the second operation, Gorakh Thakur was arrested from Rohini, Delhi on 14/09/2015. Both have been arrested u/s 41.1(a) Cr.PC.

Both the arrested accused persons were thoroughly interrogated. Gorakh Thakur disclosed that he was involved in more than 25 criminal cases. He is wanted in 05 fresh cases and he is not appearing before the courts in 07 more cases, in which he was granted bail. Gorakh Thakur started his criminal career in the year 1997, when he was arrested for two cases robbery in the area of PS Shikarpur, Bihar. Next year he again committed two more robberies. In the same year i.e. 1998 he was arrested in a sensational train dacoity in Bihar. Thereafter he continued committing crime with the help of his associates at regular interval. He is involved in case of extortion, murder, attempt to murder cases, Arms Act, Explosive Act and NDPS Act etc. He is also involved in smuggling of narcotic drugs and he was arrested in two such cases. He was also convicted for 14 years of RI and fine of Rs. 01 lac in one such case of NDPS Act.  He was hiding in disguise in the area of New Ashok Nagar in Delhi for last two months. Gorakh Thakur had another hideout in Lucknow, UP where his wife alongwith his two children has been residing.

Zakir Ali is also a very notorious gangster. He is involved in more than 15 cases and he is wanted in 09 fresh cases. He is having rivalry another desperate criminal of the area Sameer Ansari, who was arrested by Special Cell about a month ago. Sameer Ansari alongwith his associates had fired many rounds upon Zakir about 02 years ago and he was injured in that fight. Zakir Ali alongwith his associates had also fired upon associates of Sameer Ansari. They have attacked each other several times. Zakir Ali is involved in crimes like armed robbery, dacoity, kidnapping for ransom, demanding extortion, assault, attempt to murder, extortion, Arms Act etc. His brother Shaid is also a notorious criminal and he was arrested by Bihar Police about a fortnight ago. Zakir Ali has four brothers. He himself is unmarried. Bihar Police has been informed regarding arrest of both the gangsters.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt.
