200 Cartons of Illicit Liquor (Containing 9600 Quarters) Recovered
A team of PS R.K. Puram, South District has
arrested two bootleggers namely
In
order to prevent crime in area of PS R K Puram, a team consisting of SI Vijay
Kaushik, ASI Surender Rana, HC Gulab Singh, HC Sukender, HC Naim, HC Sanjeev,
Ct Manoj, Ct Prashant, Ct Praveen and Ct Ajit Punia under the leadership of
Inspr. Vijaypal Dahiya and supervision of Inspr. Neeraj Chaudhary, SHO/R.K. Puram
was constituted. The team was assigned the task to gear up their sources and to
conduct intensive patrolling in the area, especially in morning wee hours to
catch the criminals active in the area.
On
3.9.15 at around 4 am, the team intercepted an Eicher Canter in suspicious
condition at Vivekanand Marg, near Sector-5, R K Puram. The driver and helper were identified as Khem
Chand r/o Tirkha Colony, Sec-3, Faridabad, Haryana and Rakesh r/o Sec-3,
Faridabad, Haryana. During inspection of
Eicher Canter, it was found empty. On
suspicious, it was checked minutely and found that a special cavity was formed
on the rooftop of Canter and some cartons were concealed in the same. On further checking, 200 cartons of illicit
liquor (containing 9600 quarters of liquor) were recovered from the cavity of
Canter. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 726/15 dated 03.09.15 u/s 33/58
Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS R K Puram and investigation was taken up.
During interrogation, both accused persons
disclosed that one Omi R/o Faridabad, Haryana, a bootlegger had given them custody
of above-said Eicher Canter duly loaded with illicit liquor to supply / transport
the same from Haryana to different areas in Delhi and Ghaziabad. They further disclosed that one person namely
RJ was leading them in an Alto Car and when the police stopped them for
checking, he escaped in his car from the spot.
They further disclosed that in the same way, they had also transported
the illicit liquor on the direction of Omi R/o Faridabad and every time RJ had
accompanied them in his Alto Car and they delivered the illicit liquor in
different locations of Delhi and Ghaziabad, UP. They used to choose wee hours for
transportation of illicit liquor.

Profile of accused:
1.
Khem
Chand
(age 46 years) r/o Tirkha Colony, Sector-3, Faridabad is illiterate and works as
driver. In order to earn fast and easy
money, he indulged in supply of illicit liquor from Haryana to different
locations in Delhi i.e. Saket, Sarai Rohilla and Trans Yamuna and Ghaziabad, UP
on the instance of one Ombil @ Omi.
2.
Rakesh (age 40
years) r/o Sector-3, Faridabad is illiterate.
He works as driver / helper. In
order to earn fast and easy money, he indulged in supply of illicit liquor with
accused Khem Chand.
