07 Year Old Kidnapping Case Worked Out
On 03-11-2008, a resident of
Q-Block, Mangol Puri, Delhi lodged a complaint in PS Mangol Puri, regarding
kidnapping of his school going daughter aged 18 years. He alleged involvement
of school teachers including the Principal behind it. On this complaint, a case
vide FIR No.570/08, u/s 363/34 IPC was registered at PS Mangol Puri, Delhi.
The matter became
very sensitive and the family members of girl forcibly entered the school,
misbehaved with teachers and broke school articles. In this regard, another case
vide FIR No.571/08, u/s 323/186/353/338 IPC was registered at PS Mangol Puri against
the family members. When the chargesheet in the case FIR No.571/08 was filed,
the complainant approached the court of CMM,
North West, Delhi, alleging that while the police has failed to trace his
daughter, they are unduly harassing him.
Consequently, this case was
being monitored by CMM, North West, Rohini Court Delhi. Later on, the
Commissioner of Police, Delhi transferred this case to Crime Branch for further
investigation. Sincere efforts were made by IOs to trace the victim but all in
vain.
In the month of August, a special drive was launched
in Crime Branch to work out the cold/old cases and court monitored case. The
matter was taken up by the Anti Human Trafficking Unit on top priority and
finally after relentless efforts succeeded in working out the case. A team of Anti Human Trafficking Unit led by DCP Rajiv Sharma,
comprising of ACP Jitender Singh, Inspector Joginder Singh, HCs Jaivir Singh,
Gajender, Jaibhagwan, Tarachand, Krishan and Ct. Parveen was constituted under
the supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar to work out the said case. The team made
all out efforts to trace the victim. The informers/resources deployed for
developing the information about the kidnapped girl.
On 03.09.15, Inspr. Joginder Singh received
information through his sources that the kidnapped girl is residing at L-Block,
Mangol Puri, Delhi with her husband. The information was further developed.
After sincere efforts made by the team, the girl was recovered from L-Block, Mangol
Puri, where she was found living with her husband, who is a battery rickshaw
driver.
The victim stated that, she had come in contact with
the boy in 2008. Both became close friends and later, she fell in love with him.
When she informed her parents about her affair, she was
beaten mercilessly by her parents and they were objected to her marriage with the
boy. On 3.11.08, she voluntarily left her house and solemnized marriage with the
boy in Bulandshahar, UP. She has two children aged 5 years and 3 ½ years from
the wedlock. When her elder son was born in 2010, she had informed her parents
and also disclosed her present address to them. The present address of the
victim happens to be within a distance of 5-7 km. But this fact was never disclosed
by the complainant to the investigating agency.
The complainant always misguided the police and kept
investigating officer in dark despite the fact that he was well aware that her
daughter is living with her husband in Mangol Puri itself. He always built
pressure on police for failure to trace out his daughter despite knowing her
whereabouts. He kept alleging that his daughter was kidnapped by the school
Staff, who were also unnecessarily harassed by him.
