Desperate Robber Raju @ Katua of Afsar Gang Arrested

A team of Special Staff/North-west District has arrested one desperate robber, member of notorious Afsar Gang, namely Sahil@Raju@Katua@ S/O Kallu Malik R/O D-361, Jahangir Puri, Delhi. The accused was wanted in robbery case FIR No. 696/14 u/s 392/394/397/34 IPC  of PS Bhalaswa Dairy of North-West District.     

Arrest, Investigation and Interrogation

        On 29.12.2014, Sh. Jitender@Guddu  S/O Sh. Lottan R/O D-237, Gali No.5, Near Fish Market Mukundpur Delhi reported that while he alongwith his friends were sitting in his office, one Ghanshyam alongwith his associates Ashok, Raju (mentioned above) & Shahnawaj entered his office and started beating him.  The trio badly thrashed him as such he had to be hospitalized. The complainant further stated that the assailants also robbed him of his gold chain and three gold rings.  A case vide FIR No. 696/14 u/s 392/394/397/34 IPC PS Bhalswa Dairy was registered and was taken up for investigation.   

Though the two accused in the case had already been arrested but the most dangerous & notorious of the three robbers namely Shahil@Raju@ Katua was still at large. Sahil@Raju@Katua is involved in more than 27 criminal cases and all of them were of heinous nature like Dacoity/Robbery/Snatching/Arms Act. The accused is also a member of Afsar Gang who is notorious for its desperate criminal activities. DCP/North-West assigned the task to Special Staff/North West District.  

A team under the overall supervision of Sh. R.K. Ojha, ACP/Operations/NW District led by Inspr. Shyam Sunder I/C Special Staff was constituted.  The team also included SI Ajay Kumar, SI Vijender Nagar, ASI Sushil, HC Jaspal, Ct Satender and Ct Yoginder.  This team was assigned the task of apprehending the accused Raju@Katua.

On 22.09.2015, the team of Special Staff was present in the area of PS Maurya Enclave when the team member got a specific information that the notorious robber Raju@Katua@Shahil will go to Prembari pul via Muni Maya Ram Marg.  A raiding party was constituted and the said team laid a trap near DDA Office TV Tower bus Stand on Muni Maya Ram Marg, Pitampura.  At about 06.45 PM a suspicious person came from RP Chowk Pitampura and was stopped and overpowered at the instance of an informer.  The person was later identified as Shahil@Raju@Katua.  Though he was perturbed, on interrogation, he initially said that he is not wanted in any case.  However on sustained interrogation he broke down and accepted that he is wanted in a robbery case of PS Bhalaswa Dairy, North-West District. 
        
On interrogation, he further revealed that on 28.12.2014 he alongwith his associates namely Ashok, Shahnawaj and Ghanshyam robbed one Guddu of his three gold rings and one gold chain after badly beating him.       

Accused was arrested vide DD No. 81-B Dt. 22.9.15 u/s 41.1(ba) Cr.P.C. PS Maurya Enclave North-West District Delhi

Profile of the accused Raju @ Katua
Accused Raju@Katua is a native of Wazirpur industrial Area, Ashok Vihar, Delhi. He is illiterate. He entered the world of crime when he was quite young. His love for money and luxury forced him to take the path of crime. He is popularly known as Katua. He is a close associate of notorious robber Afsar and was integral part of Afsar Gang. He too was arrested alongwith his associates but came out of jail few years back. Since then he is trying to re-organize his gang with Ghanshyam, Ganga  and Ashok. His co-accused in the present case namely Ghanshyam is also a member of Afsar Gang.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
