Third Accused Arrested in Sensational Blind Heist of Approximately Rs. 1.5 Crore of PS Lahori Gate



Crime Branch of Delhi Police have arrested  third accused namely Sonu in connection with sensational heist of approximately Rs. 1.5 crore of PS Lahori Gate. The accused has been arrested from near Rithala metro station.
Shri Gaurav Rathi s/o Shri Om Prakash Rathi r/o Shakti Nagar, Delhi,  a dry-fruits wholesale commission agent at Tilak Bazar, Delhi reported that on 9.12.2014, he alongwith his employees was present at his shop. At about 6 pm, 4 armed persons entered into the shop and made them hostages by tying their hands with ropes. Thereafter, they robbed away more than Rs. one crore cash from the shop. On this, a case of robbery was registered at PS Lahori Gate.

During interrogation he revealed that a thorough reccee was conducted to know about the availability of the cash and it was done by a local peson who works as a courier boy ( angaria) with some businessman and is known as  Roshan in Khari baoli area and is at large since incident. He further revealed that Roshan was also given a share of booty. Roshan is believed to be the informer and efforts are being made by teams for his arrest.
Sonu was working  as a mobile repairer at a shop in Lajpat Rai market from last 10 years.

It is pertinent to mention that the case was worked out with the arrest of accused Roop Singh @ Vicky and Vinod @ Lala and a recovery of Rs. 32 lakh was also made, efforts are being made to arrest remaining three accused namely Manish, Roshan and Subhash.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
