Ps New Usmanpur, North East District, Arrested Gang of Cheaters

With the arrest of Santosh @ Bunty (Head of the Cheater’s Gang) (Age 27 yrs.) and one Vinod @ Rajesh (Age 30 yrs.) both are resident of Gali No.10, Ist Pusta, New Usmanpur, Delhi, a gang of cheaters has been busted by the police of PS New Usmanpur, North-East District, Delhi.    

On 01.12.2014, the complainant Shri Sanjay Kumar Mittal reported that a person namely Banti came from Shahbad Dairy Farm for the dealing of polythene and asked to come on 05.12.2014 near Shastri Park, I. T. Petrol pump and supply some polythene as sample which is to be delivered.  On 05.12.14, the complainant agreed for purchasing polythene. On 09.12.2014, Banti informed telephonically to the complainant to come at I.T. Petrol Pump, Shastri Park along with a vehicle for loading the polythene.  On 10.12.2014 he along with one Sanjay S/o Mahesh Chand reached alongwith a vehicle at the given destination and parked vehicle there.  The complainant made a telephonic call to Banti who came along with one Rajesh S/o Piyare Lal and taken an amount of Rs. 50000/- and the driver of vehicles was directed  to the Dharma Kanta, but Bunti did not come back and switched off his Mobile.  On this a case was registered vide FIR Nos.1303/14 & 1324/14 u/s 420 IPC at PS New Usmanpur and investigation was taken up to apprehend the accused persons.

A team comprising of Inspr. Mahabir Singh, SHO/New Usman Pur, HC Vijay Kumar, Ct. Kuldeep, Ct. Prince, Ct. Sachin, Ct. Bhim, Ct. Nadeem and Ct. Anil under the close supervision of  ACP/Seelampur, was constituted to apprehend the accused.

There was no leading evidence/clue about the accused persons except the Mobile number used and given I.D. at the time of dealing.  On enquiry, these were found to be faked.  In the absence of these documents, the case has become totally blind and there was no way to reach the accused persons except to develop the information from the secret informer about the persons who are indulged in the crime by adopting such modus- operandi.  Finally, the police team success to reach the members of gang who were indulged in the case.   A member of constituted team Ct. Kuldeep was got trained as decoy customer.   The similar procedure as adopted by the accused persons during the cheating to the complainant was adopted to reach upto the head of the gang.  A private vehicle Tata-407 was also hired and the decoy Ct. Kuldeep was in the dress of labour.  He (Ct. Decoy customer) contacted with the members of gang, but at the first instance he did not agree to make the deal.  Finally he reached on the conclusion and contacted with the head of the gang leader namely Santosh @ Bunty.  He introduced himself to be the owner of the Godown and promise to supply a huge quantity of polythene as already lying in his godown at a very low rate in comparison to the market rates. On the fixed directions given to the decoy customer Ct. Kuldeep, the member of constituted team immediately reached there and apprehended the accused persons.  The accused persons are being interrogated to find out the other involvements by adopting similar modus-operandi.
