Nigerian National Arrested for Drug Trafficking



Crime Branch has apprehended one Nigerian national involved in trafficking of drugs and has recovered 50 gm of fine quality Cocaine.  Value of the recovered Cocaine is Rs. 50 lac (approximately) in international market.  

Information was received on 16.12.2014 by SI Rajnikant that one Nigerian national namely Uche Aaron Chiddi is indulged in supply of huge quantity of Cocaine, a party drug, in Delhi. The information further entailed that Uche Aaron Chiddi would come near Suraj Vihar Bus stand, opposite NSIT College, Dwarka, New Delhi in evening to deliver a consignment of Cocaine to one of his contacts. A team led by Insp. Vivek Pathak consisting of SI Rajnikant, HCs Mahesh, Yogesh & Ct. Sunny was constituted under the supervision of ACP Ravinder Kumar Tyagi and overall supervision of DCP M. A. Rizvi.  A trap was laid at the given place of information and  the accused Uche Aaron Chiddi (30 yrs.) s/o Mr. Uche r/o 48 UKA Road, Aba Kaliki, Nigeria, was apprehended on the instance of secret information. On cursory search, 50 gm of fine quality Cocaine was recovered from his possession. A case vide FIR No. 135/14 dated 17.12.2014 u/s 21 of NDPS Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch.

      On sustained interrogation, Uche Aaron Chiddi revealed that he has studied up to Secondary School in Nigeria. His father had expired in 2004. He is unmarried and had come to India due to poor financial condition of the family on Tourist Visa on 31st March 2011. Uche Aaron Chiddi initially stayed at Rohini, Delhi and started export of readymade garments & artificial jewellery to Nigeria, where his brother used to sell them in local market. As the garment business was not doing well, he landed in financial crisis. Then, he met one John, a fellow Nigerian, who lured him into the drug business. John used to supply him Cocaine at public places and never showed his residence. While working with John Uche Aaron used to supply drugs in various Malls and other crowded places. He frequently changed his residence from Rohini to Dwarka and then to Chatterpur to conceal his identity.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi.
