TRAINING PROGRAMME ON MOTIVATION, STRESS MANAGEMENT & HANDLING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ISSUES HELD AT AUDITORIUM, PS BARAKHAMBA ROAD, NEW DELHI
A
4-day training programme on “Motivation, Stress Management and Handling
Domestic Violence” held at PS Barakhamba Road Auditorium from 13.6.2016 to 16.6.2016
concluded in the august presence of Shri Alok Kumar Verma, Commissioner of
Police, Delhi. The training was imparted by the experienced trainers of
Edelweiss Financial Services Limited, which is the principal sponsor of
Indian Contingent for the Rio Olympics. The objective of this training
programme was to motivate the police force, imparting training in handling the
stress and also domestic violence in their personal life and how to strike a balance
between the personal and professional life.
This
endeavour is the brainchild of Shri Alok Kumar Verma, CP, Delhi wherein the
problems of stress, improving efficiency amongst the police ranks have been
dealt in a humane, scientific manner through this training programme in which
Mr. Brian Lobo, the prominent motivational speaker alongwith his team shared
key inputs on the above topics based on real life experiences. 608 police
officers/personnel of various ranks from Constables to Inspectors attended the training
programme.
The
training started with an introductory session and two way communication was
carried out to break the ice. The participants were asked about their
expectations from the training and the participants were also briefed about the
trainer’s expectations. The importance of setting the goals in the life of a
person was explained to the participants and the success principles to achieve
these goals were discussed.
With
the help of different teaching methods such as audio-video visuals, interesting
fun activities, time management and thought process of an individual was
highlighted. The trainers discussed the role of stress in one’s personal life
and mentioned it to be one of the main reasons for domestic violence. Importance
of yoga and regular exercises was discussed to deal with stress and domestic
violence.
All the participants attended the training programme with
zeal and enthusiasm. They freely interacted in the training sessions and shared
their views. In the feedback session, while interacting with the CP, Delhi Shri
Alok Kumar Verma, they gave the feedback about the session being highly useful
and interactive. Overall, the response of the trainees was overwhelmingly
positive.
