SET UP OF A HI-TECH POLICE BOOTH IN WAZIRPUR INDUSTRIAL AREA, NORTH-WEST DISTRICT.

With a view to strengthen police presence in Wazirpur Industrial area, a hi-tech police booth fitted with CCTV cameras has been set up at vantage point to check criminal elements. The police booth has been come up with the cooperation of Wazipur Industrial Area Associations. The industrial area houses around 2500 factories which cater employment to two Lacs workers. There are also hutments in the periphery of the industrial area. During interaction with Jt.CP/NR, the associations requested for setting up a police booth near A 48 WPIA being hub of financial/money transaction.
                The associations have also arranged 25 barricades to be put at vulnerable points to curb the criminal activities. The associations also promised to provide another 25 barricades in the weeks ahead.

                   The police booth was formally inaugurated today by the undersigned.  Shri Jai Kumar Bansal, president of WPIA Association along with other office bearer of the association was also present on this occasion. They appreciated the initiative of Delhi Police and assured all kind of help in covering WPIA with CCTV cameras and rectifying the electricity poles.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi. Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana, who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali No. 15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt.
