Sensational Dacoity Case of Naraina Worked Out with the Arrest of Two Robbers of an Interstate Gang

Crime Branch has busted an interstate gang and worked out a sensational dacoity in the house of a businessman in the area of PS Naraina, Delhi in which about 10 armed assailants entered into the house with the connivance of the domestic servant. Two gang members namely Sunil Kumar Sahu (26 yrs) s/o Ram Bilas Sahu r/o VPO Parsai, District Madhubani, Bihar and C.H. Bhaskar Rama Belchapada @ Anna (61 yrs) s/o Rama Belchapada r/o Chennayya Moole, Kanyana, District Mangalore, Karnataka have been arrested and passport, broken door of digital locker, cash and number of jewellery worth of lac of rupees have been recovered from their possession. They were presently staying at E-457/A, Gali No.7A, Sangam Vihar, Delhi.

        The victim businessman had employed a domestic help at Naraina Vihar from a placement agency on 16.07.2015. On 19.07.2015, in the evening, when the businessman and his wife were alone in the house, the servant gave a hint to his associates to enter the house. 6/7 muffled face persons armed with revolver, knife, iron rod, screw driver entered into the house and took the family on gunpoint and robbed away jewellery, cash and other valuable items worth of lac of rupees. During dacoity, the assailants tried to open the locker of one of almirah. But they could not open it and pulled out the locker and took away. They also robbed away jewellery worn by the businessman and his wife. After committing the dacoity, the assailants also threatened the complainant that they would kill his son if he dared to lodge any complaint with police in this matter. A case vide FIR No.380/15 u/s 395/397/506/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act was registered at PS Naraina, Delhi in this regard.

        On 01.08.2015, specific information was received by SI Vijay Samaria that two persons involved in the dacoity of Naraina Vihar will assemble near Batra Hospital, Tughlakabad Institutional Area, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, New Delhi. Acting on the information, a team led by ACP KPS Malhotra, consisting of Inspr. Surinder Singh Sandhu, SIs Vijay Samaria, Neeraj Kumar, HCs  Niranjan,  Resham, Cts Gopal Krishan, Raj Kumar, Amit, Brijesh, Sandeep, Cts Harikishan and Arvind was constituted under the supervision of DCP Bhisham Singh and overall supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar to nab them. A raid was conducted and the accused Sunil Kumar Sahu (26 yrs) s/o Ram Bilas Sahu r/o VPO Parsai, District Madhubani, Bihar, and C.H. Bhaskar Rama Belchapada @ Anna were apprehended. On interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the dacoity committed in the area of PS Naraina.

On intensive interrogation, the plot of the dacoity was uncovered and it was revealed that they would first deploy one of their associates as servant/cook in the targeted house so that he could ascertain the location of keeping cash, jewellery and valuable items and the timings of presence of family members. In the similar manner, the accused persons got deployed one of their associates namely Deepak @ Deepu @ Chhotu as a servant in the house of the businessman to gather information about the family. Within two/three days, the servant gathered the requisite details about cash, jewellery and other valuable items and the daily routine of the family members.

On 19.07.2015 in the evening, when businessman and his wife were alone, the servant got his associates entered in the house. 6/7 gang members including accused Sunil Kumar, C.H. Bhaskar Rama Belchapada @ Anna, Amit, Guddu, Motu, Digambar, Ishant and Kalu armed with revolver, knife, iron rod, screw driver entered the house while few of them remained present outside to support them in case of requirement.

On sustained interrogation, accused Sunil Kumar Sahu also disclosed that he alongwith his associates had committed a crime similar in the area of Garhi near Greater Kailash six month ago. His share of robbed jewellery has been recovered from him.

RECOVERY: -

1.            Robbed cash Rs. 19000/- including foreign currencies i.e. US dollar, Yuan and Hong Kong dollar.

2.            19 silver coins, gold & diamond jewellery.

3.            Broken door of robbed digital locker.

4.            Passports of the complainant and his family member.

5.            Large number of jewellery articles are yet to be connected.

PROFILE: -

1.            Sunil Kumar Sahu (26 yrs) s/o Ram Bilas Sahu r/o VPO Parsai, PS Khutan, District Madhubani, Bihar is a diploma holder in Marketing as well as Hotel Management from Pusa Institute, Delhi. He started committing crime when he came in contact with Surender and Amit. Surender had met him in Dasna jail when he was arrested in a case of PS Sector-49, NOIDA, UP. His associate Amit is also involved in the dacoity case of Naraina and he is also wanted in a case of robbery case of PS Khatuna, District Madhubani, Bihar.

C.H. Bhaskar Rama Belchapada @ Anna (61 yrs) s/o Rama Belchapada r/o Chennayya Moole, Kanyana, Tehsil Bantwal, District Manglore, Karnataka has studied upto 7^th standard. His wife has expired 25 years ago. Sand alongwith her two sons had thrown him out about 25 years ago due to his bad habits of drinking, gambling & lottery. He started working in a hotel as a cook to meet his expenses. He has worked in Mumbai as a cook where he met Amit, one of the accused of this case. When he returned from Mumbai to Karnataka, he was arrested by the police of PS Kumble, District Kasarganj, Kerala in a case of preparation for dacoity and remained in jail for 7 months. After getting released on bail, he contacted Ajay who told him to come to Delhi. After reaching Delhi, all the accused persons including Anna stayed at a rented accommodation at Chirag Delhi and they left the said house after committing dacoity and started living in the area of Sangam Vihar, Delhi.
