Dreaded Gangster Sohanbir @ Somvbir @ Sonu @ Filmi Nabbed by the Team of AATS/South-West District

The sleuths of AATS/SWD have succeeded in nabbing the dreaded, hardcore and wanted criminal Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy S/o Umed Singh R/o VPO Kakrola, Delhi Age – 28 years after a brief chase. The dreaded criminal Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy is previously involved in many cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion etc. and is associated with the gangs of Rajesh Naharia & Satender @ Bhinda.  He is a school dropout and entered in the world of crime way back in the year 2000 even before he attained the age of majority.  He used to arrange sophisticated weapons from Hapur, UP and executed his sinister plans to murder, attempt to murder, threatening etc. along with his associates.  In the year 2012 he along with his associates Amit, Dharambir, Jaipal etc. attempted to murder Anil R/o VPO Kakrola, Delhi because he was having a dispute over a plot with him and since then he was on the run and wanted in Case FIR No. 214/12 U/s 307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Dwarka North, New Delhi.  Such was his terror that not only the public at large but also his rivals were afraid of him.  He was very fascinated by the Heroes of Bollywood and used to insist his associates by addressing him as “BAJRANGI”.

          Accused Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy is a school dropout.  He fell in the bad company during his school days, hence discontinued his studies.  In the year 2000 when he was only 16 years old he was initially apprehended in Arms Act case in Sonepat, Haryana and a threatening case of PS Palam Village, Delhi.  Being juvenile was freed from the clutches of law shortly, hence with the passage of time he came in contact with more dreaded criminals like Rajesh Naharia, Satender @ Bhinda, Aashu, Amarjeet @ Tillu, Ranjeet, Anil Pal etc. 

          In the year 2004 in rivalry he along with his associates he pinned down Moni R/o Village Dichaun Kalan and was arrested at PS Linepaar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana.   In which he was awarded life conviction but filed a petition before Chandigarh High Court and his punishment was reduced and at last released from jail in the year 2010.  During his stay in Gurgaon jail he had altercation with other criminal Jagbir R/o Village Nangli Sakrawati and was badly beaten and humiliated by Jagbir.  Therefore he wanted to take revenge from Jagbir and joined the gang of Satender @ Bhinda in the year 2011. 

          The criminal Satender @ Bhinda on the other hand was having enmity with Jaibeer R/o Deenpur, Delhi and he wanted to kill him meanwhile Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy also wanted to pin down Jagbir.  To execute their sinister plan they had stolen a Maruti Swift Car from the area of PS Janak Puri, Delhi in Feb 2015 and then purchased three PISTOLS of .32 bore and cartridges from Hapur, UP for Rs. One lakh.  He was looking for an opportunity to gun down Jagbir and tried his best but could not make out.  He was also continuously committing crimes with his associates until he was caught. 

         In the year 2012 he along with his associates Amit, Dharambir, Jaipal etc. attempted to murder Anil R/o VPO Kakrola, Delhi because he was having a dispute over a plot with him and since then he was on the run and wanted in Case FIR No. 214/12 U/s 307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Dwarka North, New Delhi.

          In the year 2004 he along with his associates in rivalry murdered Moni R/o Village Dichaun Kalan, Delhi in Barahi, Bahadurgarh, Haryana and a case of murder vide Case FIR No. 06/04 dated 22/02/04 U/s 302/201/120-B/34 IPC & 25/27/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Linepaar Bahadurgarh, Haryana.

          In Feb 2015 he along with his associates Satender @ Bhinda and Sumit @ Monu had stolen a maruti swift car from the area of Janakpuri, Delhi regarding which a Case FIR No. 255/15 U/s 379 IPC PS Janakpuri, Delhi was registered.         

          During the course of investigation, massive efforts were launched to trace and apprehend the accused who had orchestrated and executed the crime.   In view of the gravity of the crime it became imperative that the case be cracked with utmost expediency and to that effect a dedicated team of AATS/South-West under the supervision of Shri B. S. Dhaiya, ACP/Operation and under the leadership of Insp .Raj Kumar, AATS/SWD was constituted.  On 31/07/15 secret information was received that accused Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy has arrived at his house in Village Kakrola, Deelhi.  Hence under the supervision of Insp. Raj Kumar a police team comprising of SI Manoj Bhaita, SI Naresh Chander, HC Jitender, HC Rajesh, HC Sanjay, Ct. Anil and Ct. Jagat laid a trap near the house of accused Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy .  At about 5.30 PM accused Sohanbir @ Sombir @ Sonu @ Filmy was arrested from his house after a brief chase as accused tried to fled away from there.  A stolen Hero Honda Splendor motor cycle was also recovered from his instance after his arrest from his village.

Previous Involvement – more than 10 cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion etc. of  Delhi and Haryana. 

          The accused staged planned these incidents to threaten the victim and to extort a handsome amount from them. He had further planned also that in case victim failed to pay him the money he would even murder them.   However before his sinister plan could be executed he has been arrested by AATS/South-West and the gang has been busted.
