Health check-up camp for detection of cancer and gynecological problems at Community Centre, Police Colony, IIT, Hauz Khas
On 18.08.15, South District has organized health
check-up camp in association
of Western Avenue RWA, Sainik Farms and Friends of
Chandigarh at Community Centre, Police Colony, IIT Gate, Hauz Khas, New Delhi
from 11 AM to 5 PM.
In
the forenoon session, Dr. Manchanda, Gynecologist along with his team checked
64 female patients (female police personnel and wives of police personnel). Dr. Manchanda also briefed them how to avoid
gynecological disease and suggested treatment for the patient who were found
suffering from any gynecological disease.
They also distributed leaflets on the above subject for awareness.
In
the afternoon session, another team of doctors carried out health check-up of families
of police officials including police officers, specially for detection of
‘Cancer’. A total of 95 persons were
checked. During health checkup, blood
samples were collected and BP, X-ray, Mammography was done.
Local
residents of police colony, IIT Gate, Hauzkhas and PS Hauz Khas as well as the
police personnel appreciated the initiatives taken by South District Police for
showing concern about their health and desired to participate in the similar
camp in future also.
