One Person Arrested for Making Fake Birth Certificates by East Dist. Police
With the arrest of one
person Shaharyar Alam @ Sahil, police of East Distt. has busted a racket of fake
birth & death certificates.
Through reliable
sources, it came to know that a person namely Sahil is involved in making fake
birth certificates. Acting on a tipoff,
information was gathered about the accused. On 08.01.2015, a team consisting of
SI Mukesh, SI Jai Singh, ASI Omender Kumar, HC Braham Pal, HC Ved Pal Singh, HC
Anil Kumar and Ct. Rambir Singh under the supervision of Inspr. K.G. Tyagi laid
a trap near Metro Station New Ashok Nagar.
At about 9 PM, the accused came there on a motorcycle. The team acted swiftly and nabbed him. 11 fake birth certificates were recovered
from him.
On further
interrogation, it came to know that the accused has previous criminal
history. He disclosed that he used to
arrange the birth certificates, which were issued to other persons, from MCD
office with the help of his one associate.
He would erase the particulars of the real applicant from the
certificates and type the fake details of his customers. He further revealed that he prepares the fake
birth and death certificates on demand by removing the details from the original
certificates.
Recovery

birth certificates, one laptop and one printer, used in the crime were
recovered from him.

Alam @ Sahil s/o Islaamuddin r/o Village Haribhita, PS Goal Pokhar,
Distt.-Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal (Present address E-14/G-50, New Seelampur,
Delhi) age 28 years. He is a post
graduate. Initially, he did a private
job in West Bengal. He came to Delhi in
the year 2011 and started a factory of denim trousers but could not
succeed. Ironically he used his
education in the field of crime and started making forge documents. He was previously involved in three other
cases of cheating & forgery and one case of rape.
