Gang of Robbers Busted in South West Delhi

On the night between 27/28.01.2015, the PCR staff have busted a gang of robbers namely Baljit Singh aged 40 years, Suraj Sharma aged 25 years and two juveniles and recovered one Audi car No. DL 4CA 2565, one Ritz car No. DL 4CS 2005 and one motor cycle No. DL 4SC 4347 from their possession. Both the cars were robbed from the area of South West District whereas motor cycle was stolen from PS Ranhola, West District. One country made pistol has also been recovered from their possession.

Profile of the accused

1)            Baljit Singh aged 40 years, s/o Swaran Singh r/o H.No. U-86, Jain Colony, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi.

2)            Suraj Sharma aged 25 years, s/o Ramesh, r/o
Raja Puri, Budh Bazaar, Bindapur, New Delhi.

3)            Two juveniles

On the night between 26/27.1.2015, PCR staff were on patrolling duty in the jurisdiction of South West District, Delhi. At 2345 hours, one Shashank Gupta, s/o Rajeshwar Gupta, r/o 12/16 Shakti Nagar has reported at PS Sector-23, Dwarka, Delhi that he is working as a co-pilot in Alliance India, Indira Gandhi Airport, New Delhi. While he was approaching to Gurgaon via Dwarka, his car was stopped by four persons by hitting from the right side. One of them took out a country made pistol and threatened him to hand over all his belongings. The accused robbed the car at the gunpoint while his associates snatched his gold chain, mobile and cash. Immediately the message was given to Central Police Command Room.

            On receipt of the information, the CPCR immediately alerted the local police, all PCR and all the officers on patrol duty. PCR van Zebra-94 on which HC Ajeet Singh No.1562/PCR, Ct. Pawan Kr No. 7590/PCR and Ct.(Dvr.) Anil No. 11329/PCR were patrolling near the Najafgarh drain at Old Kakrola More chased the vehicle which was heading towards Najafgarh side. They tried to stop the vehicle but the accused accelerated the speed. Immediately they passed a message to PCR van Zebra-101 stationed at Tura Mandi, Najafgarh, on which ASI Mahender No.5412/PCR, Ct. Sanjay No. 2362/PCR and Ct.(Dvr.) Jaibir No. 4304/PCR were deployed, to intercept the vehicle.

            On receipt of the information, Z-101 rushed towards old Kakrola More. The vigilant staff spotted the vehicle approaching from other side and both the PCR vans succeeded in intercepting the Audi car No. DL 4CA 2565 near Rosewood Hospital, old Kakrola More. They overpowered the occupants of the car who was identified as Baljit Singh s/o Swaran Singh r/o Jain Colony, Uttam Nagar and a juvenile. One country made pistol was also recovered from Baljit Singh. Case FIR No. 35/15 dated 28.1.2015 u/s 392/393/34 IPC was registered at PS Dwarka, Sector-23. The accused and the robbed Audi car DL 4CA 2565 were handed over to the local police for further investigation. A gold chain robbed from the complainant was also recovered from the accused.

            On further questioning, it was revealed that two of their associates had escaped in a Ritz car No. DL 4CS 2005 which was involved in committing robbery. PCR staff of Z-94 immediately alerted the CPCR regarding the involvement of said vehicle in committing the crime. However, the Ritz was intercepted at about 2.30 AM at Ranaji Enclave, Nangli Sakarawati by Z-36 on which HC Jagbir No.8985/PCR, Ct. Dinesh No. 2069/PCR and Ct.(Dvr.) Ajmer Singh No. 9391/PCR were deployed. The driver of the car was also overpowered, who was a juvenile. One motor cycle No. DL 4SC 4347 was also seized from the possession of Suraj Sharma, who was moving ahead of the said Ritz car, which was found to be stolen from PS Ranhola vide case FIR No. 42/15 dated 17.1.15 u/s 379 IPC PS Ranhola. Interrogation of the accused further disclosed that Ritz car No. 4CS 2005 was robbed from the area of PS Dwarka North for which a case vide FIR No. 70/15 u/s 394/34 IPC PS Dwarka North has been registered.
