Notorious thief of Delhi Metro Rail arrested

With the arrest of Mohd. Adil @ Lucky @ Danish, aged about 25 years R/o Darya Ganj, Delhi,  Police of PS Kashmere Gate Metro, Delhi who is the involved in 13 cases and BC of PS Daryaganj, has worked out the cases of theft of mobile phone and no. of two mobile phones  were recovered from his possession.
Incident & Investigation:  
On 31.07.17, one Mr. Sachin Shukla  R/o  Sector- 15, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar (UP) was travelling by metro from Rajiv Chowk to Chandi Chowk. During de-boarding at Chandni Chowk Metro Station, his mobile phone was stolen.  The complainant reported the matter to the police station and a case vide FIR No. 0291/2017 u/s 379 IPC was registered on his complaint immediately and the investigation of the case was taken up. CCTV footage of Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bajar & Kashmere Gate Metro Station was inspected and the information about the thief was collected. From the clips of the CCTV footage, the person was seen during de-boarding the Metro along with the complainant, Mr. Sachin Shukla who was identified as Mohd. Adil @ Lucky @ Danish, aged about 25 years R/o Gali Kaptan Wali, Darya Ganj, Delhi. Thereafter police started working on Mohd. Adil. Search of Mohd. Adil was made and raid was conducted at his residence but no information whereabouts. Sources and informers were also deployed to find out the whereabouts of Mohd. Adil.

            On 31.07.17 in evening time, information was received to the I.O/ ASI Hariom that Mohd. Adil who is wanted in this case is about to come to Chandni Chowk Metro Station with the intention of committing thefts in Metro. On this information, a team was constituted in the supervision of Insp. Devendra Kr. Singh SHO/KGM and consisting of ASI Hariom, Ct. Dinesh Kumar, Ct. Bhoj Kumar, Ct Dharam Singh under the supervision of ACP/Metro Sh.Rajkumar Bhardwaj  and under overall supervision of DCP/Metro, Sh Jitendra Mani. A trap was laid outside Chandni Chowk Metro Station and at the instance of informer,  Mohd. Adil @ Lucky @ Danish s/o Mohd. Akil, aged about 25 years R/o   Darya Ganj, Delhi was arrested. On sustained interrogation and at his instances, recovery of mobile phone   was effected at his instances from his residence.

Modus operandi:
During interrogation he disclosed that due to poverty he could not get education. He was associated with some bad elements of society and started committing theft. One day when he came to metro station and saw the crowd inside metro and metro premises. So he decided to commit theft in Metro Station. He used to come with different person at metro station and taking the advantage of crowd started pick-pocketing. He has also been arrested earlier in 13 cases of thefts and pick-pocketing in Metro Police Station and other Police Stations in cases of Arms Act and NDPC Act also.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
