Police Station North Avenue Inaugurated


Police Station North Avenue was inaugurated on 06.11.2015 by Hon’ble Member of Parliament Sh. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Chairman House Committee Lok Sabha and Commissioner of Police Sh. Bhim Sain Bassi in the jurisdiction of New Delhi District. The Police Station has been setup by keeping in view the policing around North Avenue and other high security areas around North Avenue. It has MP residences, RML Hospital and important government offices in its jurisdiction. On this occasion Commissioner of Police, Delhi guided policemen to be polite to the visitors/complainants so that public carries nice experience and good memories. Hon’ble Member of Parliament Sh. Arjun Ram Meghwal reiterated the valuable guidance of Commissioner of Police, Delhi Sh. Bhim Sain Bassi about good behavior of policemen to the public and said that good behaviour of policemen should be a concrete step towards concept & objective of “Good Governance and Police Reforms”. Special Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Sh. Deepak Mishra, Special Commissioner of Police, Sh. Amulya Patnaik and other senior officers as well as policemen and public members were also present on the occasion.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi. Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana, who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali No. 15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt. Sonepat, Haryana), who is an absent BC of PS Narela, a bail jumper, a declared proclaimed offender in 2 murder cases and one case of Arms Act . At the time of apprehension, both the accused fired on police personnel, however, they were finally overpowered.
