Mass Demonstration of Self-Defense Techniques Programme Organised By South-West District Police
On 02.11.2015, South-West District
Police organised Mass Demonstration of Self-Defense Techniques under the
Flagship Programme of “AB NAHI HAI
DARNA” of C.P./Delhi, in the ground of Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Delhi
Cantt., New Delhi. The Commissioner of
Police, Delhi, was the Chief Guest of the function and other senior officers in
the rank of Spl.CsP, Jt.CsP and DCsP have also attended the function. The South-West Police District has
given Self Defence Training about 2500 girl students of different Govt. Schools
of this District i.e. Kakrola, Chhawla, Najafgarh, Inderpuri, Pochanpur,
Dhansa, Kapashera, Bijwasan, Dwarka, Delhi Cantt. etc. and these girls
demonstrated different skills of Self-Defense Techniques in the above said
function.
The
Commissioner of Police, Delhi addressed the girl students, respectable persons
who came from different areas of this District and appreciated the efforts
taken by the South-West District Police towards Women-Empowerment. He has also given reward of Rs.5000/- to
trainers from Delhi Police namely W/Const.Rekha and W/Const.Satish. C.P., Delhi also requested all the girl
students to do the practice every day of Self-Defense Techniques and also given
them a Motto “EACH ONE TEACH ONE”.
Sh.Dependra
Pathak, Jt.CP/South-Western Range also addressed the participants and told
about the importance of learning Self-Defense Techniques for the girls against
increasing the Crime Against Women in Delhi.
This District will continue
to conduct the Self-Defense training programme for maximum girl students including
working women so that we can increase more confidence to make the women
empowered.
