Good coordination with State Police and swift action by the team of PS V.K. South led to arrest / apprehension of 3 car-jackers

A team of PS Vasant Kunj (South), South District has busted a gang of robbers cum car-jackers and arrested accused Yogesh @ Bhola r/o Rangpuri, Delhi and apprehended 2 juveniles and recovered robbed Swift Dzire from Manohar Pura, Rajasthan within four hours.

Brief facts :

          On 6.11.15 at about 1 AM, a PCR call regarding car-jacking by 4-5 persons near Isreil Camp, Rang Puri was received at PS Vasant Kunj (South).  Sh. K.P. Kukreti, ACP/Vasant Vihar and Inspr. Virender Jain, SHO/V.K./South who were performing night patrolling in the area reached the spot along with staff.  The complainant Shri Nagender r/o Samaipur Badli, Delhi was present at the spot who reported that while he was on way back to his office at Airport in Swift Dzire car after dropping the passenger in Mahipalpur, two boys came near to his car.  He asked them about the way to NH-8.  Meanwhile, both boys along with their other 4 associates forcefully entered into his car.  They forced him to drive the car and took him to the jungle of Israil Camp, Rangpuri and thrown him out of the car and fled away with car.  He further reported that accused persons also snatched his mobile phone and cash.  In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 1198/15 u/s 395/365 IPC was registered at PS V.K. South and investigation was taken up. 

Investigation :

          In order to arrest the culprits and recovery of robbed car, a police team led by SI Rakesh Sharma consisting of SI Raj Kumar, SI Pankaj, HC Harish Chand, Const. Devender, Ct. Inderjeet, Ct. Sheotaz and Ct. Ashok was formed under the supervision of Inspr. Virender Jain, SHO/V.K. South and overall supervision of Sh. K.P. Kukeraty, ACP/Vasant Vihar.  The owner of the car Mr. Mahesh Kumar was contacted who informed that the said car was duly fitted with GPS System. The GPS Company was contacted and URL, Login ID and password were taken on mobile phone.  The current location of the robbed car was checked and it was found moving towards Jaipur on NH-8 near Bahrod, Rajasthan.  The police team was immediately dispatched to Bahrod to chase the car and Rajasthan Police was informed accordingly.  On the basis of the location of the car, the police team intercepted the robbed car with the help of local police of PS Manohar Pura, Rajasthan at NH-8 near Toll Plaza, Manohar Pura and apprehended 3 accused persons and recovered robbed car from their possession.  One of the accused persons was identified as Yogesh @ Bhola and other 2 were identified as juveniles.  Their other 3 associates managed to flee away from the spot by taking advantage of darkness.

Interrogation :

          During interrogation, accused Yogesh @ Bhola disclosed that he along with his associates used to target the luxury car being driven by single driver in the area of Mahipalpur and Rangpuri on the pretext of taking lift.  After boarding the car, they used to force the driver to take his vehicle at isolated locations and rob the car and valuables.  Thereafter, they used to throw the driver out of the car and run away from the spot.  He further disclosed that they used to dispose the robbed cars in Jaipur, Rajasthan to a person who is known to one of his associates.

Profile of accused person:

1.   Yogesh @ Bhola r/o Rangpuri, Delhi belongs to a poor family.  He is a school dropout.  He fell in bad company and started patty crimes.  Later on, he started heinous offences by engaging juveniles with him to earn quick money.

Recovery:

1.   One robbed car (make Swift Dzire).
