Kidnapping Cum Murder Case Worked Out

With the arrest of two persons namely Santosh Kumar S/o Meghu Ram R/o Village Lachh Mandi, PS Shakund, Distt. Bhagalpur, Bihar Age-22 yrs. & Sanoj Ram S/o Jai Parkash Ram R/o B Block, Gali No. 2, Janta Vihar, Mukund Pur, Delhi (Permanent Address:- Village Gidhoda, PS Sambhu Gunj, Distt. Banka, Bihar) Age-23 yrs., Ashok Vihar police had worked out a kidnapping cum murder case in which one 21 year old boy was kidnapped and murdered subsequently. 

INCIDENT

           

            On 01.05.14, Sh. Bahadur Mandal S/o Sh. Mahabir Mandal R/o A-55, Group, WPIA, Ashok Vihar, Delhi (Permanent Address:- Village Gidhoda, PS Sambhu Gunj, Distt. Banka, Bihar) lodged a missing report of his 21 years old son Nitish Kumar vide DD No. 47B Dated 01.05.14 PS Ashok Vihar. In this report, Sh. Bahadur Mandal stated that his son Nitish Kumar accompanied his friend Santosh Kumar to Ballabhgarh, Haryana 10 days ago and since then they did not return. The missing report was lodged and during enquiry, I.O. made all sincere efforts for tracing them and sent wireless message, uploaded relevent facts on ZIPNET and conducted other formalities in respect of the missing boy. On 29.06.14, Deen Mohan Mandal (brother of Bahadur Mandal) stated that he had suspicion that his nephew Nitish Kumar was abducted by Santosh Kumar. On his statement, a case vide FIR No. 384/14 Dated 29.06.14 U/S 365 IPC PS Ashok Vihar was registered and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation, sincere efforts were made to trace the accused but no clue has come to fore regarding whereabouts. NBW against alleged Santosh Kumar was also obtained from the Hon’ble Court but he remained absconding.

TEAM

            In order to trace the missing boy and the accused person, a team comprising of Inspr. Virender Kadyan SHO/Ashok Vihar, Insp. R.K.Mann, SI Umesh Rana, SI Kali Charan and other staff was constituted under the overall supervision of Sh. Mohd. Iqbal, ACP/Ashok Vihar. The team had put painstaking and relentless efforts for getting whereabouts of the missing as well as alleged person.

INVESTIGATION

            During the course of investigation, several informers were deployed for providing any clue in the case and on 31.10.15, secret information was received about the movement of accused  Santosh Kumar that he would visit Wazirpur Industrial Area and accordingly, a trap was laid and accused Santosh Kumar was apprehended near State Bank of India, Wazirpur Industrial Area on the evening of 31.10.15.

During sustained interrogation, accused Santosh Kumar revealed that he along with his brother-in-law Sanoj Ram had killed the deceased Nitish Kumar and he further informed that in April 2014, the deceased Nitish Kumar had beaten his brother-in-law Sanoj Ram in the presence of several known persons in Wazirpur Industrial Area and threatened him to kill. Due to which, his brother-in-law got scared and felt lot of humiliation. This fact was told to him by his brother-in-law when the accused Santosh Kumar arrived Delhi from his native place Bihar. He along his brother-in-law Sanoj Ram hatched a criminal conspiracy for eliminating Nitish Kumar in order to take revenge for the humiliation/assault of Sanoj Kumar. Accordingly, accused Santosh Kumar had taken Nitish Kumar from Wazirpur Industrial Area on the pretext of arranging a better job in Ballabhgarh, Haryana. Both of them went to Kashmiri Gate during the last week of April 2014 and slept in Kashmiri Gate area. On the next morning, he took Nitish Kumar in jungle of Yamuna Khadar near New Usmaan Pur, Delhi, contacted his brother-in-law Sanoj Ram telephonically and called him there. After the arrival of his brother-in-law in Yamuna Khadar, they all went deep inside the jungle area where Santosh Kumar stabbed Nitish Kumar with a knife and crushed his head with a cemented stone with the assistance of his brother-in-law Sanoj Ram and absconded from the spot. After committing the crime accused Santosh Kumar never returned at his native place in Bihar and accused Sanoj Ram resumed his job in Wazirpur Industrial Area. On the basis of investigation accused Santosh Kumar and the other accused Sanoj Ram was also apprehended by the police team from Mukund Pur, Janta Vihar, Delhi. He also confessed his involvement in the murder of Nitish Kumar. Both of them also pointed out the place of occurrence where Nitish Kumar was killed by them.

On 01.11.2015 accused persons led the police party to the jungle of Yamuna Khadar, near New Usmaan Pur where they pointed out the place under a tree where they killed Nitish Kumar in April 2014. To verify the facts regarding the murder of Nitish Kumar, the record of PS New Usmaan Pur was checked and inquest proceedings is conducted by local police of PS New Usmaan Pur.

2.        Sanoj Ram S/o Jai Parkash Ram R/o B Block, Gali No. 2, Janta Vihar, Mukund Pur, Delhi (Permanent Address:- Village Gidhoda, PS Sambhu Gunj, Distt. Banka, Bihar) Age-23 yrs. - He is married and working in a factory at Wazirpur Industrial Area, Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
