SHO Shifted after Vigilance Enquiry
As
a part of the anti-corruption drive of Delhi Police, an SHO has been shifted
out on the orders of the Commissioner of Police following an enquiry conducted
by the Vigilance Branch of Delhi Police.
The matter pertains to Police Station BindaPur in South-West Delhi.
In
this case, in the area of PS BindaPur, there was a dispute over possession of a
piece of land in Village Matiala. Sh.
Jai Kishan Vats and Satish Vats filed a complaint to the Commissioner of Police
against Inspr. Vijay Pal Singh,SHO/BindaPur, alleging that the SHO in
connivance with some musclemen/anti-social elements was trying to grab their
ancestral land by using forged, fabricated and invalid Sale-Deeds executed at
Mumbai/Bombay in the year 1996 to claim ownership of the land.
On enquiry by the Vigilance Branch, it was
revealed that the complainant had filed several complaints to the local police and
made PCR calls about anti-social elements coming regularly to their land armed
with pistols, revolvers and guns in order to terrorize the tenants and the
complainants. But the local police did not take legal action against them. On
the intervention of the Senior Officers, a case was registered against the
unsocial elements but on the very next day a cross case was registered against
the complainant on the false allegation made by the alleged persons, which
shows the connivance of the SHO with the land-grabbers.
Action
was recommended in the matter by the Vigilance Branch to the Police Head
Quarters since the SHO failed to exhibit upright conduct and tried to distort
the facts.Taking a serious view in the matter, in view of the Vigilance Enquiry,
Worthy CP Delhi passed orders of transfer of SHO BindaPur Vijay Pal Singh to a
non-sensitive unit.
