Desperate Robbers/Snatchers/Burglars Arrested Involved in More Than 100 Cases

With the arrest of 2 desperate robbers/snatchers, the staff of PS Keshav Puram, North West District has worked out as many as 28 cases of robbery and snatching. The duo has been identified as Jarnail Singh (aged 40 years) S/o Surajpal R/o F-48, Vijay Vihar, Phase-II, Delhi  and Sunil (aged 30 years)  S/o Dharam Singh  R/o 10613/6 Andha Mughal, Partap Nagar, Delhi. One stolen motorcycle, 1 loaded country made pistol along with 6 live rounds & 1 knife/dagger were recovered from their possession. During the course of investigation 2 robbed gold chain were also recovered at their instance.

In the wake of increasing incidents of snatching and robbery, SHO Keshav Puram under the supervision of ACP/Ashok Vihar Sh. Mohd. Iqbal analysed the crime pattern and identified vulnerable points where the crime frequently took place. Accordingly, pickets deployment were rearranged focusing on the vulnerable points. Local intelligence was gathered and informers were also activated.

In view of the recent snatching in Ganesh Pura area of Keshav Puram, on 23.09.2015 morning while the staff namely Ct Sanjay, Ct. Parkash, Ct Mukesh, Ct. Harpreet and Ct. Abdul Latif were patrolling in the area of Jagan Nath Marg,  Shanti Nagar, a motorcycle rider was signalled to stop. Instead of stopping the motorcycle rider alongwith the pillion rider tried to evade the policeman. The staff sensed something fishy and immediately swing into action to chase and finally succeeded in nabbing them. During their personal search one loaded Country made Pistol and one Knife/Dagger recovered from their possession. During sustained interrogation it was found that Motorcycle on which they had come, carry fake number plate was stolen from the area of P.S Sarai Rohilla.

Accordingly, a case Vide FIR No. 682/15 U/s 25/27/54/59Arms Act & 102 Cr.PC  PS Keshav Puram was registered and both accused were arrested.

During sustained interrogation, both the accused persons disclosed that they used to Snatch/Rob the gold chain to meet their personal and of their family demands.  On further interrogation/checking of record, Jarnail Singh was found involved in 80 criminal cases of Robbery, Snatching, Arms Act, NDPS Act and Sunil was found involved in 18 criminal cases of Robbery, Snatching, Arms Act and NDPS Act respectively. They further disclosed their involvements in more than 28 cases of recent Robbery and Snatching in the area of North, North-West and Outer Districts. Two gold chains were recovered at their instance.  Efforts are being made to apprehend the receiver of gold chains.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:-
1.   Jarnail Singh (aged 40 years) is unemployed and drug addict. To meet his needs of drug he started committing crime.
2.   Sunil (aged 30 years) is illiterate and unemployed. He fell in the bad company and started committing crime to fulfill his daily needs.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
