On 19/09/2015, Sh. Gurmeet Singh reported
that someone has stolen 2 LEDs, 1 laptop and 2 mobile phones by breaking locks
of his office in early morning hours. The whole incident was captured in the
CCTV camera. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.634/15 u/s 454/380 IPC was
registered at PS Mianwali Nagar, Delhi.
There was a spurt of burglaries in the
early morning hours in the area of West and South-West District. A team of
Inter State Cell was working to gather information about such criminals to
contain their activities. On 27/09/2015, specific information was received by SI
Vijay Samaria that the burglars involved in the above mentioned burglary would pass
from Nala road adjacent to Uttam Nagar terminal. Accordingly, a team led by DCP
Bhisham Singh, consisting of ACP KPS Malhotra, Inspr. Vijay Kumar, SIs Vijay
Samaria, Neeraj Kumar, HC Niranjan, Cts Gopal Krishan, Raj Kumar and Arvind was
constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP Alok Kumar to nab them. A trap was
laid and four persons were apprehended alongwith two stolen motorcycles and a
wagon-R car. Many other stolen items viz. LCD/LED, mobile phones, laptop, gas
cylinders and house breaking equipments were recovered from the recovered
wagon-R car.
During interrogation, they disclosed
that they used to break the locks of offices/shops using iron cutter in early
morning hours and steal the stuff according to their requirements. They further
disclosed that in the year 2011, they had burgled into a jewellery shop in the
area of Mahavir Enclave by wrongly assuming it as a TV showroom. When they
entered the shop, they found it to be a jewellery shop; they first took out the
LCD TV lying in the shop and also took away the chest containing gold, silver
and diamond ornaments. Thereafter, they sold the chest to one scrap dealer for
one lac without opening it. On the next day, they were stunned to know through news
channels that the chest stolen from the jewellery shop contained ornaments worth
crore of rupees. They immediately took back the safe from the scrap dealer and shared
the ornaments worth crore of rupees after opening it. Later on, they were
caught by the police and recovery was affected before them before they could
dispose off the same. Since then, they decided not to indulge in any big theft
and to steal easily disposable items like LCD TV, gas cylinders etc as these
things are easily available in any offices now a days. They also used to burgle
shops to meet their daily needs. Total 10 theft cases have been worked out so
far with their arrest.
