A Gang of Auto-Lifters Busted with Arrest of Four
Crime Branch has busted
a gang of auto-lifters with the arrest of four criminals namely (i) Ashok (22
yrs) s/o late Shyam Sharan r/o Ranhola, Delhi, (ii) Nitin @ Raju (29 yrs) s/o
Bhagwan Dass r/o Ranhola, Delhi (iii) Yogesh (26 yrs) s/o Rajinder Singh r/o
Ranhola, Delhi and (iv) Nitesh @ Teddy (20 yrs) s/o Devi Sharan r/o Nihal
Vihar, Delhi. One stolen delivery van (Mahindra), one vehicle engine, CNG
cylinder and windshield glass affixed to another delivery van (Mahindra) and one
Bajaj Discover motorcycle have been recovered and four cases of auto-theft from
West Delhi have been worked out.
INFORMATION,
TEAM & OPERATION: -
An input was received by Ct. Anil that criminals
of an auto-lifter gang would come near Govt. School, Shivram Park Extension,
Nihal Vihar, Delhi alongwith a stolen Mahindra Champion vehicle. The
information further entailed that the gang members including the receiver would
go for disposing and dismantling the stolen vehicle. On this information, a
team of Special Team led by DCP Rajeev Sharma, consisting of ACP Jitender
Singh, Inspr. Satyawan, SI Dinesh Malik, HCs Lakhvinder, Azad, Cts. Anil,
Raman, Kavinder and Rajesh was constituted under the supervision of Addl.CP
Alok Kumar to nab them.
Acting on the information, the team laid
a trap at the place of information and one green colour Mahindra Champion, without
bearing any number plate, was spotted coming from Najafgarh-Nangloi Road. Two
persons were sitting with the driver and one person in the back side. All of
them were overpowered alongwith the Mahindra Champion vehicle. An engine and
other parts of another Champion vehicle were found loaded in the vehicle.
It has been revealed during
interrogation of the accused persons that they are living in the same locality
and belong to poor families. In order to earn quick easy money, Nitesh @ Teddy
alongwith one Tinku had stolen one Mahindra Champion from the area of PS
Khayala and gave it to Ashok for further disposal. Accused Nitin @ Raju and
Yogesh have also stolen another Mahindra Champion from the area of PS Ranhola,
Delhi and they also gave it to Ashok who had partly dismantled it for disposal
in parts. They were in the process of dismantling and disposing of the stolen
property but were apprehended on the way.
PROFILE: -
1.
Ashok
s/o late Sh. Shyam Sharan, c/o Brahampuri Colony, Ranhola, Delhi is illiterate
and married. He is driver by profession. His father had expired 1 year ago. He
has seven brothers and sisters in his family and he has the responsibility to look
after them. Earlier, he used to work as a vegetable vendor. He joined the gang
to earn quick easy money. He had received the two stolen Mahindra Champion
Delivery Vans from his other gang members.
2.
Nitin
@ Raju s/o Sh. Bhagwan Dass r/o Vikas Nagar, Ranhola, Delhi has studied upto
10th class and he is married. He is a driver by profession. He has two brothers
and his father works as a labourer in a factory. He has no previous
involvements.
3.
Yogesh
s/o Rajinder Singh r/o Vikas Nagar, Ranhola, Delhi has studied upto 10th standard
and he is married. His father is bed-ridden due to illness and he is the only
earning person in his family. He is an auto-driver and has no previous
involvements.
4.
Nitesh @ Teddy s/o Devi Sharan, r/o Shivram
Park, Nihal Vihar, Delhi, has studied upto 7th class. He is an
auto-driver and his father runs a tea-stall. He alongwith his friend namely
Tinku have stolen two m/cycles and one Mahindra Champion.

and other parts affixed on another Mahindra Champion reported stolen vide e-FIR
No.15183/15 u/s 379 IPC, PS e-Police Station, M.V. Theft (PS Ranhola,
Delhi).
3.
One
Bajaj Discover motorcycle No. DL-4SCA-1959 reported vide e-FIR No. 14035/15 u/s
379 IPC, PS e-Police Station (PS Nihal Vihar).
Accused Nitesh @
Teddy also further disclosed to have stolen one Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle from
the area of PS Nihal Vihar, West District reported stolen vide e-FIR
No.14641/15 u/s 379 IPC, PS e-Police Station.
They have been
booked under appropriate sections of law and concerned police stations have
been informed for further action in this regard.
