Meetha Thagg Gang Busted

AATS/North has succeeded in apprehending two accused persons namely (i) Nadir Hussain s/o Lt. Manjoor Hussain r/o Patri bhure Shek Ki Mazar, Nizamuddin , Delhi Age- 50 Years. And ii) Abdul Rehman s/o Lt. Md. Muzeef r/o Patri bhure Shek Ki Mazar, Nizamuddin , Delhi Age- 28 Years and recovered Kamandal, Agarbatties, Some fake Gemstones, Chanting garlands, Statue of Hanuman Ji, Sindoor and one peer baba chadar. . Gang is famous as Meetha Thag Gang. As the leader Nadir is very sweetly, humbly and courtesy cheat the public on the name of God.
INFORMATION, TEAM AND OPERATION: -
 On 18.12.2015, information was received by AATS/North that two persons namely Rehman and Nadir, both residents of Nizamuddin would come near Fatehpuri Masjid who are involved in cheating cases of North District. After receiving this information, a team consisting of SI Ravinder, HC Mahesh, HC Satish Patil , Ct. Navneet  and Ct. Amit was constituted under the  supervision of Insp. Shailender Tomar and overall supervision of Sh. Anand Rai ACP/Operation Cell, North District, Delhi was constituted to nab them. The team led a trap near Out Side Fatehpuri Masjid and apprehanded the accused Mohd. Rehman and Mohd. Nadir.
Interrogation and Police Action:-
Both the persons Mohd. Rehman and Mohd. Nadir used a very unique way to fool people and cheat money from them, one of them called himself as a Pandit/Maulvi and told innocent people that he will show them God and the other person doing the work to ensure people that Pandit/Maulvi is a man of God and he will show them God. Associate of the Pandit/Maulvi pretends to be a public person in front of the target and express that they saw the God or the Chamatkar (Miracle) or claim that their money has got double. They act according to the situation and condition of the target party.  In their view religion is nothing, there is no hindu, muslim or other caste the grass root truth is hunger and money. For which they work and use religious sentiment as tool to earn money from the public. They operate at major tourist places like Lal quila, Jama Masjid, Taj Mahal (Agra UP) and Ajmer (Rajasthan) because people visited the place are tourist and do not come again once cheated or befooled. During course of transaction  if they found any weakness of target party like Medical problem, wish of son, Poorness, love affair or husband-wife problem they exploit them accordingly. They have befooled cheated more than fifty people in Delhi, Agra, Ajmer and other parts of the country. Efforts are been made to collect information of their cases at different places. It is found that number of people do not report to police the matter because of shame and hesitation and also because they are tourist and do not stay at the place and further go to their destination after being befooled. Recently in 2015 they made fool a innocent person in the area of PS Lahori Gate by saying that pandit will show him Hanuman JI and cheated Rs 22,000/- from him. The complainant Mr. Lalan was asked to take few steps towards Red Fort and they assured him the God Bajrang Bali will appear and resolve all his problems. He did the same after handing over the cash Rs. 22,000/- to them. When he came back after not meeting the God Bajrang Bali he did not see anyone at the spot and he realized that he has been cheated.  A case vide FIR No. 252/15 u/s 420/34 IPC, PS Lahori Gate was registered in this regard. They confessed that they did the same trick in many other places of Delhi, UP and Rajasthan.

1)    Nadir Hussain s/o Lt. Manjoor Hussain r/o Patri bhure Shek Ki Mazar, Nizamuddin , Delhi Age- 50 Years, by profession he is a Madari/Magician. He is an illiterate person and addicted of smake. He is a very sweet and humble by nature and dangerous in conduct. He is famous as Meetha and also called as Meetha and Meetha Thag. He is the leader of Meetha Gang.
2)    Abdul Rehman s/o Lt. Md. Muzeef r/o Patri bhure Shek Ki Mazar, Nizamuddin, Delhi Age- 28 Years, he is also an illiterate person and for making easy and quick money he became “Chela” of Nadir. His main work is to make ensure that people will get faith on   Nadir.

Kamandal, Agarbatties, some fake Gemstones, Chanting garlands, Statue of Hanuman Ji, Sindoor and one peer baba chadar.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money.
