Two desperate criminals involved in various cases of murder, attempt to murder, robbery, etc. and wanted in a murder case arrested

One 9 mm automatic pistol, 5 live cartridges and CBZ motorcycle recovered.

A team of STF, South District has arrested two desperate criminals namely Raju (age 33 years) s/o Jai Prakash R/o village Sheikhpura, PO Chandpur, District Bijnor, UP and Mohd. Wasi Khan (age 26 years) S/o Atik Ur Rehman R/o Mohalla Patia Pada, VPO Chandpur, District Bijnor, UP and recovered one 9 mm automatic pistol, 5 live cartridges and a CBZ motorcycle.

Brief facts :

A team of Special Task Force (STF), South District consisting of SIs Arvind, Vikas, Anand Prakash, ASIs Satender, Balbir, HCs Ajit, Vinod, Umesh, Mukesh, Suresh, Cts Ashok, Naveen, Satish and Vikas under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, I/C STF/SD was formed to develop information about the active burglars, snatchers and robbers.  The team developed intelligence regarding movement of a robber namely Raju, who might be involved in the recent incidents of robbery and snatching in South Delhi along with his associates. The information was further developed which revealed that he was also involved in murder, attempt to murder and robbery cases in District Bijnor, UP and his present associate Mohd. Wasi Khan may also be involved in a murder case.  

On 25/05/15, the team, on receipt of secret information, laid a trap at Basant Lok Park Road, behind PVR Priya Complex, Vasant Vihar and arrested accused Raju s/o Jai Prakash R/o Village Sheikhpura, PO Chandpur, District Bijnor, UP and Mohd. Wasi Khan s/o Atik Ur Rehman R/o Mohalla Patia Pada, VPO Chandpur, District Bijnor, UP, while they were going on a CBZ motorcycle for meeting their other associates.  On search of accused Raju, one loaded automatic pistol and 2 live cartridges were recovered from his possession and on search of Mohd. Wasi Khan, 3 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 698/15 dated 25.05.15 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Vasant Vihar and investigation was taken up by the STF.

During interrogation, it was learnt that Raju has spent 7 years in Tihar Jail in a robbery case in which he along with his associates Mohan and Sunil was caught red handed in 2003. After having been released in year 2009, he went back to Chandpur, Bijnor and formed his own gang. He committed series of robberies.  He was also involved attempt to murder and murder case. He procured the automatic pistols i.e. 9 mm bore from one Rashid of Hapur.  After coming out on bail in April 2015, he returned back to Delhi due to pressure mounted by Bijnor Police. Accused Raju is previously involved in following cases :

1.   FIR No. 617/03 dt. 16/10/03 U/s 393/452/34 IPC P.S Paschim Vihar, Delhi. In this case he along with his associates was convicted for 7 years and he remained in jail till year 2009.

2.   FIR No. 02/2014 U/s 394/302/411 IPC P.S Chandpur, Bijnor, U.P

3.   FIR No. 420/2014 U/s 307 IPC P.S Chandpur, Bijnor, U.P

4.   FIR No. 490/2014 U/s 356/379 IPC P.S Chandpur, Bijnor, U.P

5.   FIR No. 511/2014 U/s 25 Arms Act P.S Chandpur, Bijnor, U.P

6.   FIR No. 01/2015 U/s 3(1) Gangster Act P.S Chandpur, Bijnor, U.P

7.   He is also involved in 2 other cases of PSs Noorpur and Heempur, District Bijnor.

Accused Mohd. Wasi Khan used to play cricket at District and State Level on behalf of Young Boys Club. He met with an accident, due to which he was unable to continue his passion for cricket. He started business of glow light boards but suffered losses. In order to earn easy money, he along with Rashid committed murder of Sakir Ali in Shadara in November, 2014. Accused Mohd. Wasi Khan is wanted in case FIR No. 725/2014 dated 15/11/14 u/s 302/307/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act P.S Shadara, Delhi.

Recoveries :

1.   One automatic .9 mm pistol and five live cartridges;

One CBZ motorcycle;
