Online Gambling Racket Busted

A team of PS R.K. Puram, South District has busted a gang indulged in online gambling and arrested seven accused persons namely Ramesh Chaurasia (kingpin of the racket), Ten Singh, Jagdish Kumar, Pramod Kumar, Vikash Singh, Kailash and Rajender Kumar Sahu. With their arrest, 6 CPUs, betting cash Rs. 89,000/- and mobile phones used in commission of crime have been recovered.

A team of PS R.K. Puram developed secret information regarding operation of an illegal gambling racket in the area of Bhikaji Cama Place. On the basis of secret information, a team under leadership of Inspr. Vijaypal Dahiya and Inspr. Manoj Kumar consisting of SI Vijay Kaushik, SI Harbir Singh ASI Surender Rana, HC Sanjeev, HC Gulab Singh, Ct. Ajit, Ct Prashant, Ct Manoj, Ct Praveen, Ct. Ravinder, Ct. Anuj and Ct. Anirudh under the supervision of Inspr. Neeraj Chaudhary, SHO/R.K. Puram and Sh. S.P. Tyagi, ACP/S.J. Enclave conducted a raid at the Basement, B-41, Ansal Chamber-II, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi. The team found that a gambling racket was being operated in the garb of a Company in the name of Mahinder Tour & Travel and Cyber Café. In the office, six computers had been installed for running an online gambling racket. Accused persons namely Ten Singh, Jagdish and Parmod were arrested who were gambling online on the site of Game King India Company. The accused persons were gambling online through user ID and Password allocated to them through Game King India Company. They let the customers play through their IDs, bet money and play the game. The betting amount Rs. 89,000/-, 6 CPU and mobile phones used in commission of crime were recovered from the spot.

During interrogation, accused persons disclosed that the Game King India Company is owned by Ramesh Chaurasia, who was previously arrested for gambling by Mumbai police in the year 2013. They also disclosed that there are many such Game Parlours run by him in various parts of Delhi, NCR and other states. On the instance of accused persons, further raids were conducted and gang leader Ramesh Chaurasia along with his other agents namely Vikash, Kailash and Rajender Kumar were arrested.

1. Ramesh Chaurasia (age 51 years) s/o Lakhu Lal Chaurasia R/o H. No. 92, Ankur Apartment, Narwana Road, I.P. Extension, Patparganj, Delhi (kingpin of gambling racket) is a Mumbai based businessman. He is the founder of the company Game King India. He runs online gambling through a server by distributing user Ids & Passwords.

2. Ten Singh (age 38 years) s/o late Bhagwat Singh R/o H. No. B-151, Ambedkar Colony, Chhattarpur, New Delhi is a school dropout. Earlier, he was working as an agent to provide Pan Cards. Later, he joined Ramesh Chaurasia and started operating in online gambling.

3. Jagdish Kumar (age 36 years) s/o Lakhi Chand R/o H. No. 49B, Mohammadpur is a school dropout. Earlier, he was running an STD / PCO Booth. Later, he joined Ramesh Chaurasia and started operating in online gambling.

4. Pramod Kumar (age 36 years) s/o Mangat Ram R/o S- 146/225, Adarsh Basti, Mohammadpur is a school dropout. Earlier, he was working as sanitation staff. Later, he joined Ramesh Chaurasia and started operating in online gambling.

5. Vikash Singh (age 22 years) s/o Bhola Singh R/o D-210, Pandav Nagar, Delhi has studied up to 10^th class. He came to Delhi 7-8 months ago and started working as collection agent in the Game King India online gambling company.

6. Kailash (age 47 years) s/o Shri Krishan Chaurasia R/o 92, Ankur Apartments, Patapatganj, Delhi was is working as a Field Manager in the Game King India online gambling company and manages the accounts of agents.

7. Rajender Kumar Sahu @ Rajan (age 37 years) s/o Surajpal Sahu R/o C-91, Pandav Nagar, Delhi was working as a Field Manager in the Game King India online gambling company and manages the accounts of agents.

Recoveries :

1. Six CPUs.

2. Betting cash Rs. 89,000/-.

3. Mobile phones used in betting.
