GANG OF ROBBERS/CAR JACKERS CARRYING SOPHISTICATED PISTOL ALONGWITH AMMUNITIONS INVOLVED IN HENIOUS CASES OF CAR-JACKING/ ROBBERY/ATTEMPT TO MURDER, Etc. ARRESTED. ROBBED SWIFT DZIRE, POLO, MARUTI SWIFT RECOVERED FROM THEIR POSSESSION.

INTRODUCTION.  

The villages in the area of sub-division Najafgarh have been in lime light for their long standing rivalries from the year 1980 onwards. The genesis of these rivalries has been land dispute and false supremacy among each other over the area amongst criminals. Number of killings has resulted because of these rivalries amongst different groups active in the area. These groups comprise youngsters who in addition to settling their rivalries switched over to number of other criminal activities i.e. carjacking, extortion activities, satta, gambling, liquor supply, dealing in illegal arms with a view to meet with their financial needs.

                   In the background of this scenario it was felt to cover the area with strong pickets at different strategic entry and exit points. Thus, a survey of the area was undertaken and such vulnerable entry and exit points were identified which would be helpful in curbing these criminal activities and in arrest of criminal involved in such unlawful acts. A total 16 pickets round the clock were introduced at these identified points. The staff outsourced from other districts was also roped in with local police. The picket staff was especially briefed on regular basis to check youngsters wearing jeans pants, white shirt/T- Shirt, branded sports shoes and driving different SUV’s as the criminals in the area have developed fascination for such outfits and vehicles.

  

The consistent briefings to staff members have resulted into bursting of group of notorious criminals in the recent past. One Sandeep @ mental  and Pardeep @ lakad were arrested in past week with one  fire arm and 03 live rounds. One Fortuner car robbed from the area of Qutub Enclave, Sector 29 Gurgaon, Haryana was also recovered from their possession.

                  

                   On 07.03.2016 again a fresh incident has been worked out   within a short spell of time after  reporting of carjacking in the area by staff members of PS Baba Haridass Nagar and Special Staff South West District. 

INCIDENT / BRIEF FACTS:

                  On 07.3.2016, at about 0021 hrs an information was received wherein it was informed that a car  DL-9CAE-9479 Swift Dezire was robbed at Dhansa Stand Najafgarh by criminals after firing upon the occupant of car who also sustained bullet injury in this incident. On receipt of  this information Rajender Bhatia ACP/Najaf Garh who was Night GO in South-West District and Inspr Raj Kumar SHO/ BHD Nagar  along with the staff rushed to the spot.  Subsequently, one injured Kuldeep S/o Shri Jagdish Kaushik R/o VPO Kair New Delhi aged 52 years with a history of gun short injury was received from RTRM Hospital Jaffarpur Kalan, New Delhi. On reaching hospital, it surfaced that unknown criminals had robbed his vehicle number DL-9CAE-9479 Swift Dzire.

                   On further inquiry, it also surfaced that one person is admitted with gunshot injury at Orthoplus Hospital, Gopal Nagar Najafgarh. He was  identified as  Devender @ Sonu S/o Sh. Surender R/o VPO Kharkhari Nahar Delhi aged 22 years who was reportedly brought to the Hospital  by two youngsters in a white colour swift car No. UP-16 AY 8664. The registration number of the said Car was immediately flashed through Control Room South West District. All the Police Pickets especially Sub-Division Najafgarh, ERVs, QRTs were alerted in the area of South West Distt to intercept this speeding swift car which reportedly fled towards Dhansa - Badli. The Staff members deployed on ERV-35 of PS Baba Haridas Nagar were alert enough to notice the fleeing car. They immediately started chasing the car and succeeded in apprehending the occupants along with the car at Mitrun Village Picket.  The occupants of the car were identified as Neeraj Dagar @ Chacha S/o Sh. Raj Kumar  aged 23 years and Amit Dagar S/o Shri Sandeep Dagar aged 19 years both R/o VPO Fatehpuri Distt Jhajjar, Haryana. He was found in possession of a pistol/ fire arm with 04 live 9mm rounds. On receipt of information Shri Jagjit Singh Sangwan ACP/Operation South West District with his team also joined the operation.

The fleeing car which was intercepted at Mitraun Village Picket, the conduct of occupants of the car was found to be suspicious and the youngster  identified as Devender @ Sonu was believed to be their associate who apparently sustained gunshot injury in cross fire by criminals during the incident of carjacking.  Thus, a case FIR No 89 dated 07.03.2016 u/s 394/397/34 IPC PS BHD Nagar was registered and investigation taken up.

INTERROGATION:   

Car occupants namely; Neeraj Dagar and Amit Dagar were put to sustained interrogation who disclosed that   injured Devender @ Sonu is their associate. They along with their other associates namely; Sudhir and Rinku robbed swift Dzire car No. DL-9CAE-9479 at Dhansa Stand Najafgarh at gun point. After incident, Rinku r/o Village Ujwa Delhi managed to abscond along with Sudhir in Ritz car which was used in committing the crime. Their associate namely;  Devender S/o Surender R/o VPO Kharkhari Nahar, Delhi aged 22 years sustained gunshot injury from the pistol of Amit which was recovered from him during his apprehension .

PROFILE OF THE CRIMINALS:

The criminal gang was operating under the leadership of Sudhir S/o Shri Mehar Singh R/o VPO Chhudani PS Sadar Bahadurgarh Distt Jhajjar Haryana. The gang has been  involved in number of heinous incidents including a firing incident happened on 27 April 2015 at Moni Lake in the area PS Jawahar Nagar  Jaipur, Rajasthan wherein they showered bullets on one Gagan Pandit and his three associates and absconded thereafter. They used a Duster car HR Temp UW1517 in this firing incident which was robbed by them from Palam Vihar Gurgaon, Haryana.  It was recovered by Jaipur Police.   The gang members have also been involved in two carjacking cases i.e. One Polo car No. DL 4 CAT 0454 robbed vide FIR No. 664/15 dated 27.8.2015 PS Dwarka South, New Delhi, and one gray colour Swift Dzire car No. DL 9CAE 9479 vide FIR No. 89/16 dated 07.3.2016 PS BHD Nagar, New Delhi and FIR No 301/14 Dated 27.04.2104 u/s 379 IPC PS Miya wali Nagar New Delhi.

iii)          FIR No. 247/15 dated 23.11.2015 U/s 307/143 IPC and 25 Arms Act. PS Jawahar Nagar, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

iv)          FIR No. 664/15 dated 27.8.2015 U/s 392/34 IPC PS Dwarka South, New Delhi.

v)            FIR No. 89/16 dated 07.3.2016 U/s 394/397/34 IPC PS BHD Nagar, New Delhi.

4.     One Polo car No. DL 4 CAT 0454 robbed vide FIR No. 664/15 dated 27.8.2015 PS Dwarka South, New Delhi.

5.     One gray colour Swift Dzire car No. DL9CAE 9479 vide FIR No. 89/16 dated 07.3.2016 PS BHD Nagar, New Delhi.
