CP/Delhi in his first Law & Order meeting with the Spl/ CsP/ Jt. CsP/DCsP of districts, IGI, Railways, Metro & Crime held today in Police Headquarters, Delhi emphasized as under

             I.         To ensure Police Visibility and interaction with people in each Beat.
          II.         To ensure Police Presence in pickets, crime prone areas, dark spots and places of public gatherings
       III.         To improve Public Police relations and to meet with RWAs & MTAs more frequently.
      IV.         To pay attention to the disposal of complaints and redressal of public grievance.
         V.         Safety & Security of Women and vulnerable group is the prime concern. All necessary steps should be taken to prevent  crime against women to ensure that  every women in Delhi feels safe.
      VI.         To improve intelligence gathering for taking preventive actions against hardened and known criminals.
   VII.         To improve records of crime & criminals for quick retrieval and taking preventive action.
VIII.         DCsP/Addl DCsP to visit atleast one police station in a week to review the working and records. They should ensure timely disposal of cases with quality investigation.
To pay special attention for prevention & detection of property crimes.

Imposter IPS Officer Arrested; an Academic Who Became a Cheat to Realize His Dream Unfulfilled

A team of Special Cell led by Inspectors Rahul Sawhney and Sanjay Kumar has arrested a cheat who impersonated as an IPS officer to cheat several persons in Delhi. On 23/02/2015,one Kultar Singh,s/o Late Raj Singh, r/o F-10, Gali No.2, Krishna Park, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi who runs a shop dealing with sale purchase of mobile phones in Gaffar Market of Karolbagh, Delhi made a complaint stating therein that a person in the name of ‘Satheesh Nair’ who had introduced himself as an IPS officer of Jaipur, Rajasthan, had come to his shop on 30/01/2015 and had purchased two mobile phones in exchange of two old phones by paying an amount of money. During the course of interaction,Satheesh Nair had shown his Identity Card to this complainant to convince him that he was an IPS officer presently posted in Jaipur, Rajasthan and was expecting his next posting in Delhi. Crime Branch has arrested two dreaded and desperate criminals namely (1) Gyanender @ Gadgu (29 yrs) s/o Mahender r/o Village Mandhothi, Distt. Jhajjar, Haryana, who is wanted in two sensational cases of murder of Haryana including one that of a brutal massacre, one case of attempt to murder of Badli, Delhi and 3 cases of extortion in Delhi & Haryana and (2) Rajeev Dahiya @ Raju (39 yrs) s/o Sukhbir Singh r/o R-95, Gali No. 15 A, Sawtanter Nagar, Narela, Delhi (permanent address-Village Nahari, Distt. Sonepat, Haryana), who is an absent BC of PS Narela, a bail jumper, a declared proclaimed offender in 2 murder cases and one case of Arms Act . At the time of apprehension, both the accused fired on police personnel, however, they were finally overpowered.
