The North West District Police has
worked out a brutal murder case of a youth and arrested two accused persons
namely Sandeep S/O Jamna Parsad R/O 181, Gali No.4, Rameshwar Nagar, Azadpur,
Delhi and Vinod@Kukku S/O Santosh R/O Gali No.7, MukandPur, Delhi. The deceased was carrying stolen gold jewellery
and mobile phone stolen by him during a burglary on the night of 6/7.3.16.
INCIDENT
On 09.02.2016, a body of a naked youth
with its head crushed was found alonwith one burnt bike at a distance of 15-20 meters
in the area of PS Jahangir Puri, Delhi. A
case vide FIR No.195/15 u/s 302/201 IPC was registered and taken up for
investigation.
TEAM, INFORMATION & OPERATION
Keeping in view the gruesome murder and
sensitivity of the case, a dedicated team led by ACP/Jahangir Puri Shri Prashant
Priya Gautam comprising of SHO/Jahangir Puri Inspr Naresh Chander, Insp. (Inv.)
Ajay Kumar, SI Vinod, ASI Somdev, HC Suresh and Ct Davender was constituted.
Initially the identification of the
deceased was a challenge as his face was disfigured beyond recognition so the
drill for identifying the ownership of the burnt motor cycle was carried out. The number plate of motorcycle was also burnt beyond
recognition and the only clue that could be from the scene was the chassis
number on the burnt frame. With the help
of Auto-match system, it came to know that the owner is someone in D block of
Gali No.7, Samay Pur Badli, Mukundpur. The
said bike was 10 year old and it was found to have been changed 5-6 hands until
the last purchase by one Pawan@Popat (the deceased) R/O Mukund Pur. The family of Pawan@Popat was traced and
called for questioning. During
questioning of the family members the person who could be possibly be alongwith
the deceased. It also revealed that the
Pawan@Popat is also wanted in a case of burgulary wherein the description of
the burglar closely resembled that of Pawan.
In that burglary some gold jewellery and mobile phone had been stolen during
the intervening night of 06/07.03.2016.
The friends/associates
of the deceased were interrogated and the name of two person i.e. Sandeep r/o
Rameshwar Nagar, Azad Pur and Vinod@Kukku r/o Mukand Pur, Bhalswa came out as
his latest associates. Police parties
were deployed in search of the suspects.
At last after sustained raids and surveillance, both these boys were
caught during the night intervening 10/11.03.2016 from the vicinity of Azadpur flyover
area. During interrogation, the duo
admitted to their involvement in this case & the mobile phone and jewellery
(which was burgled and kept by the deceased Pawan@Popat) were also recovered from
their possession.
INTERROGATION
On sustained interrogation, they
disclosed that in the night of 8/9.3.16 Pawan@Popat had shown them the gold items
tied to his leg under clothes which he had burgled and sought the help of the
duo for potential buyers. The deceased
agreed to share the sale proceeds with the duo.
However, the accused proved too greedy and they planned to kill Pawan
and take jewellery from his possession.
Therefore, they took him to Burari ground and on founding a suitable
occasion, Sandeep caught the neck of Pawan from behind. At this, Pawan got unconscious. The duo then thought to kill Pawan &
destroy his identity. They hurled a big
stone on the face of Pawan and disfigured it.
They also removed his cloth and burnt it with the motorcycle of
Pawan. The duo fled after taking out
jewellery & mobile from Pawan (then dead).
They left the body of the deceased in a condition that no one could identify
him. They put sand on big blood stained stone so that it is not traced.
