Desperate robber arrested by a joint effort by PCR Staff & Outer District Police

Neetu @ Seeta S/o Sukhbir R/o Village Madina,  Gohana Tehsil, Distt. Sonipat, Haryana was arrested from Auchandi Border Picket, while he along-with his other associate tried to flee away after robbing a Mahindra XUV 500, DL-4C-NB-7553 on gun point from PS Begum pur area.  They were chased by the two PCR Vans and were intercepted with the help of Auchandi Border Picket staff of PS Bawana. 

INCIDENT:

          On the intervening night of 14-15/03/2016, Ct. Ankit No. 2755/PCR, I/C Van, & HC (Dvr) Rishipal of PCR van were on duty at Qutubgarh Village, PS Kanjhawala.  At about 10.45 PM, they received a wireless message regarding an armed robbery of a Mahindra XUV 500, Car No. DL-4C -NB- 7553 from the area of PS Begum Pur.  They took position & started checking the vehicles by stationing the PCR Van on the road.  At about 10.56 PM, an XUV Car came at very high speed from Kanjhawla side & Ct. Ankit signaled the vehicle to stop. Instead of stopping, the vehicle hit the PCR van & fled towards Auchandi Village.  The PCR Van immediately got into a hot pursuit of the offending XUV car.  Shortly another PCR Van joined the chase, which finally ended at Auchandi Border, where the alert Border Picket staff of PS Bawana had sealed the border on receiving the message.  This led to a pile up of a few vehicles at the check post, leaving no way for the desperate robbers to cross over into Haryana and escape.  They stopped the car and ran out from the vehicle.  In the meantime, the PCR Vans which were following right behind the offending vehicle also arrived.  The staff of the PCR Vans and Auchandi Border picket chased and managed to catch and overpower one robber, while the other one managed to escape in the darkness.  On checking the driver/accused, a country made pistol was found from his possession.  He disclosed his identity as Neetu @ Seeta S/o Sukhbir R/o Village Madina, Gohana Tehsil,  Distt. Sonipat, Haryana.  On checking the Mahindra XUV 500 car, a magazine with live rounds was found on the passenger seat of the car.  A case FIR No. 152/16, u/s 186/353 IPC, Sec 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act & 25 Arms Act, PS Bawana was registered.

INTERROGATION:

          During the initial interrogation  of the arrested person, he admitted that he along-with his friend namely Golu, parentage unknown R/o Village Kila Road, Rohtak, Haryana, robbed the Mahindra XUV 500, No. DL4C NB 7553 from PS Begumpur area & tried to escape towards Haryana through Auchandi Border.  They were planning to use the vehicle in commission of another serious offence.

PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT.

          Neetu @ Seeta S/o Sukhbir r/o Village Madina, Distt. Haryana previously involved in case FIR No. 63/14 dated 03.02.14 U/s 148/149/302 IPC & 25/54/59 A. Act PS City Rohtak, Haryana.

RECOVERY:

          One country made Pistol, one white Mahindra XUV 500 car No. DL-4C NB -7553 (robbed by the accused) & 13 live cartridges.

          Further investigation is on.
